I have the Kangertech Subvod. And it seems to be leaking from I guess the top of the tank part, but I just don't get why sometimes it leaks and sometimes it doesn't when I don't do anything different. And it normally is only when I have it laying down like when charging.

One of the most overlooked things not taken into consideration with vaping devices is the fact you are dealing with liquids in general. The topvod tank is a nice tank, little upgraded from the subtank line, if it is leaking from the top when you lay it on its side or tilt it upside down, even the most smallest of imperfections in the seal, dynamics of liquids comes into effect, it will find that imperfection, seep through and like all liquids settle at the lowest point it can find. Best advice is if you need to charge your power device in at the bottom, if you can take the tank off and store it upright while the battery is charging, they have what are called 510 atomizer stands, these have a 510 threading in just a base which are relatively inexpensive
$1.23 Aluminum Stand for 510 Atomizers - 7mm(9/32 inch) at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
Just thread the tank into the stand and it will hold the tank upright.
Another fix would be to find seal replacement packs for the tank, the top seal could be just off by a nanometer and cause a problem.
Redneck DIY fix, take an old bottle cap, drill a hole in the center and use it as your tank stand or use a piece of old 2x4 wood and drill some holes in it to use as a display stand.

That would make sense. Thank you!

I can't place exactly where from because it only happens after sitting on it's side for a while like while charging. So I assume it's from one of the rings around the tank because it is around that area where the oil is when I find it. Somebody mentioned if it only happens once in a while it may just be some tiny part where the o-rings are not aligned right or something and so leaks out. I do notice it will also sometimes leak out if kept in a hot place, but that would be understandable I guess.?

Yes. The biggest flood of my vaping career was using a carto-tank that had been left in the car in a heatwave.
My guess is the top seal isn't really up to the job, or something has happened to the/an O-ring.

What I did for one of my mods that had a charging port on the bottom was to take a small cardboard box that the mod or the clearomizer came in or any other small cardboard box

and punch a hole all the way thru and feed my cord up thru the hole and plug it in and sit the mod standing up on the box and then mu juice would not run out of my atomizer.....

seem 2 work good for me.....just run the cord in thru the side of the box and then thru the top and attach the mod and stand it up on the box....

I think I'll have to give that a try and will definitely let you know it works out! Thanks!
