I picked up a RED version of the tank yesterday and currently have it in use.
  • the top fill is kinda like a few others where the entire top screws off - two Orings seal the top
  • the RBAv2 is similar to the rba+ but with much smaller juice holes
  • my fleet of STM's are kinda out of the rotation so I was a bit disliking the lack of air flow wide open (spoiled for sure by TFV4's)
Being top fill without juice flow control may (or not) test users wicking while filling. (my first fill was without incident) I do like the fairly large opening for filling unlike the Fastech top fill clone which has 2x nipple sized holes on top.

The fire engine red tank (with black drip tip) looks good on top of my same color VTC mini. (almost perfect diameter for it to) I'll have to run a few fills through it before deciding if it has a place in my tank/mod rotation.

Would you be able to snap some pictures of the RBA v2 next to the RBA+?

The RBAv2 appears to have 1/2 the size of juice holes then the RBA+

Hey guys just a few questions on coils and TC.

According to this which was taken off of Kangertech's FB page it says the only coils that use TC are SS and TI as far as the SSOCC premade heads go. I understand that it says it also does Kanthal (which I don't trust with TC yet), Nichrome, TI, SS, and Nickle, but why do they only sell the NI coils separately then?

The platinum kit reviews on youtube all show that the Platinum kit comes with 3 coils:
    1. 0.5 Clapton (kanthal)
    2. 0.15 Nickle (NI200)
    3. 0.5 Stainless Steel (SS)

I'm assuming the other Top Box Mini kits come with the same coils then? I see no reason why It should be different.

Anyhow I just want to make sure I'm understanding this correctly since the color of the O rings is what determines the wire with both the SSOCC and the older square OCC's. Is the only premade TC coil option available really just the Nickle NI200 coils? If the entire kit comes with one of the SS (Pink O Ring) coils for TC why haven't they made these available? Why just the Nickle? Does Kanger have plans on making TI, SS, and Nichrome for TC?

I'd really like to know the answer to this soon because I really want to make an order soon. Availability of the premade coils is very important to me before making this purchase as my first attempt at Wicking the RBA in my black Subox Mini didn't turn out so good.

The only thing I hate about this mod is that it doesn't sit flat at its upright position. Anyone found this issue, too? Any way to fix this?? I know PBusardo mentioned this in his review, but I didn't expect it to shake this much on my desk. I'm constantly afraid of knocking it over by accident.

Seriously considering using a hammer to give it a few taps at the bottom but I fear damaging either the internal components or the construction of the outer shell and making the shaking even worse :(

I saw Phil's video too and was scratching my head since my does indeed sit flat. You can always get a silicone case. He's dead on though about everything else especially about them not using the screen to it's full potential. The one I got at amazon actually lets it sit pretty flat and it's well more protected.

I'd be pretty upset if mine didn't sit flat, are you under warranty?

I'm more upset at the fact that this thing really doesn't have safety features as far as what mode you are in. This mod will fire any coil in any mode and that's dangerous. Mess up with the five clicks off and the next time you turn on your kbox mini75 you may find yourself in a different mode due to the 3 clicks of the 5 you tried turning it off.
