Kanthal A1 vs Kanthal D, flavor difference

hey guys, I see on ebay that Kanthal D (26 gauge) is much cheaper than kanthal A1

is there a difference in the flavor produced? is it too noticeable?

Zero. The only difference is the slightly lower temperature threshold.
