I've got a sigelei 75w tc with a herkales tank. I typically vape at about 52 watts on power mode and get pretty good flavor and vapor. I CAN NOT get the same flavor with a nickel coil. I use Atlantis coils .6 ohm power and the .2 nickel. I've tried everything for tc and the only thing that seems to work is running the wattage about maxed out because I like a warmer vape. Is this normal? The guy at the vape shop said he runs 35w at 480 degrees and to me it's awful. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!!
Kanthal vs nickel coils and taste....

I have found that the nickel coil takes a while to break in and tc in general doesn't seem to give a warm enough vape for me with high vg juices
I was vaping kanthal, 28 guage, 1.5 ohm, 20 watts in rda's then switced to nickle, 28 guage, .15 ohm, 480 degrees, 40 max watts. At first it seemed the old kanthal build tasted better but for 6 weeks I vaped nickle exclusively. When I tried kanthal again the nickle tasted better so I stayed with that plus TC makes rda's a lot more practical. Read my signiture to see what I'm vaping lately.
