A nice way to end a long weekend:

6 sets of the El Salvador Providencia (BlackBerry and brown sugar - I really like it [emoji5]), 5 of the Kenya Baragwi (Dark Chocolate, Almond, Sweet).
I have switched to cold brew to appreciate the flavor better. So nice for the first cup in the morning.

I think I'm gonna get into roasting, as soon as I can afford the equipment. Which roaster are you using?

I use a fresh roast sr500, nothing special but it's been a real workhorse. I've used it almost 2 years now, most of that time doing 10 sets per week (each set = 3 full scoops, using the scoop that comes with it).

You need an area with good ventilation - I have a ceiling vent fan that goes direct to outside as well as using a small window fan.

You want to cool the beans pretty quickly when they're done. I built a little wooden frame that holds a colander, with a 10" box fan blowing down into it.

Any place where you can set up decent ventilation will work fine (some people roast in a garage). A place next to a window where you can put a small fan venting outwards works well.

The actual amount of room needed to roast is tiny.

The few times I roasted, (using jiffy-pop), I would take the hot beans outside, and pour them from a distance between two pans. This helped get rid of some of the chaff, too. Just a bit of wind helps, otherwise you get beans spilled on the sidewalk.

I'll have a few months to figure out the where. I'm sure I'll come up with a plan.
I find myself rediscovering kawfee, since I fired the Kuerig. I'm currently enjoying some fresh roasted, Papua New Guinea Peaberry. :)

On a non kawvee note I've rediscovered how nice the Wasp Nano rda is. I'd had over squonking problems with it on the vt inbox and Therion bf, but it's working great on the pulse bf; the softer bottle and large cutout make it easy to get just the right amount of eliquid - better tactile feedback.

I'm running a 4 wrap twisted 26 kanthal, flavor, warmth, and vapor are all spot on for me [emoji5]
