Amaretto sours are the only way I can drink it...I do like to soak maraschino cherries in it though and then coat em in chocolate :D

On our way to direct admit :( Happy Birthday.....

Serious battery question. I know someone in this thread has stated their preference for LG's in regulated but Sony VTC4 or 5 in Mechs. Don't remember who it was though. Since I'm going to need to get a couple batteries soon, and am looking into baterries for mech use, figured I'd ask why?
I'm assuming due to amps, so let me clarify my question. Assuming I plan on aiming for .5ohm builds and up, further assuming I really blow my build and end up as low as .3 instead of .5 (seems to me I should never miss by that much, but...) by my calculations I'd still be way under 20 amps. In such a case, any reason to still prefer the Sony's over say the higher capacity of an HG2?
Ohm's Law, V = IR. On a fresh battery, 4.2V off the charger, you get 4.2V/20A = 0.21 ohm minimum allowable resistance.

If your target, initial build, is near 0.5 ohms, you would have a pretty large change in vaping characteristic (much warmer) if something happened to knock the real resistance down to 0.21 ohms.

The HG2 is likely reasonable (though I'm a wimp, tend towards protected cells and take the hit on minimum resistance since they have lower amp ratings).

I normally drink my coffee black, but on rare occasion a little Amaretto is good in coffee too.

Well, when you put it that way I'm inclined to agree with you. Even though I won't be running anywhere close to the danger zone for a 20a batt, better safe than sorry so the extra 10a on the VTC4 is probably the way to go. Especially since this is not going to be my all day out and about gear, so I'm not really going to miss the mAh anyway. Figure the best time to get my feet wet with a mech is before the gubbiment forces me to. And while there are still B&M's in Indiana that I can walk into with it if I feel the need. Those may be in short supply after July 1, depending on pending lawsuits/injunction requests.

Yep, VTCs are the only batteries I ever buy. I use the 5s for my regulated mods and 4s for my mechs... I guess VTCs are just comfy for me... like an old pair of slippers. ;)

I keep it 'round da house, cause da wife likes it. She'll even just mix it with Sprite...

Kaezziel -- Best of wishes for the wife. You said it well -- we all need to enjoy each day to its fullest, let those we love know it.

Thank you, Mark... much appreciated! And thank you... now go hug somebody! :D

Generic amaretto sour...tell her to try it with Squirt...even better ;)

Hmmmmm... I'll have to remember that.

I dunno if you remember the soda that used to be around called "Surge", but that stuff was awesome when mixed with vodka... apparently you can still find it, but it's crazy expensive now because it's technically "out of production". :(

Wow, some people have a lot of nerve. Selling a "never used" mod just a couple weeks after winning it is seriously uncool in my opinion.

That is seriously uncool....if you win it and don't want it, you PIF it--you don't sell it!

I remember it, but I didn't know they did away with it. There's was a soda back in the 80's/early 90's that I fell in love with called "Apple Slice"...I was so mad when they quit making it!

Exactly! It's just tacky to profit from a gift... just pass the good karma on to someone else who could likely use it!

I vaguely remember that one... I never saw it very often, so I guess I didn't realize that they'd killed that one too... dey always gotta get rid of da good stuffs.. :(

Yep, my thoughts exactly. Using ECF classifieds to profit off of a contest win just rubs me the wrong way. Don't know if it's against the rules, but it sure is shady.

Extremely shady...specially since it's one of the "I never win" whiners.
