For the moment it looks like I didn't poke hard enough to face any repercussions. I'm glad, because I didn't want to lose this home. I just had something I needed to say, and was perhaps overly concerned about what would happen when I did.

fwiw, brother, one of the reasons that I value you as a person is that you seem to be a person of both values and value - and sometimes you have to take a stand, to remain in alignment with your internal compass and sense of personal integrity - one tidbit to ponder though, to extrapolate on the words of Mssr. Ghandhi ("be the change you want to see in others")... sometimes, the best way to communicate a point or take a stand is by means of spiritual aikido - redirecting the negative energy in such a way that something positive is achieved - channeling the outrage into laserlike focus, to excise the tumor, instead of an explosion (and sometimes much easier said than done)... breathe, aim, pull the trigger (and sometimes, make sure the suppressor is functioning...)

Well, if I do cross the line too far, please say so. Last thing I intend is to offend or make anyone uncomfortable. I work in a fairly loose environment, I'd probably be hauled into HR daily anywhere else. But then again so would our Plant Manager, General Manager, Quality Manager, Engineering Manager (you get the picture) so I don't always consider that others may not appreciate it.

Celebrated my wife's and niece's birthdays at Texas de Brazil tonight. Can't do that too often, it plays hob with cholesterol, but once in a while is nice

Kitty had run-in with emergency vet after horking most of the past two days. The bloody ick is what made me freak out. $450 later, she got some fluids, couple other shots and a thermometer shoved in a "this is not an innie" oriface. Will watch to see how she responds.

She's 14, and other than being overweight, she's apparently healthy.....
