The Heaven Gifts contest is pretty large -- 128 prizes is nice. I sent Evan a PM, asked if he could provide links to the ways to enter.

Let's see if we can eat up all the prizes on just the HG ECF thread :D

I just went back there, and it appears that the "initial" thread has been locked? Did they open a new one (that I can't seem to find?)

Low 80s at camp, a few passing storms. We need rain, but this is nice :)

Thanks @markfm.... Brother Kad tagged me, so I found my way :D

I'll unwatch the first and start watching the 2nd ;)

Dayum, it's humid here today :( Supposed to hit mid- to upper-90's by week's end

With the heat index here, it's pushing 99 right now :(

You'd be bored. Kayaks, canoe, swimming, barbecue, books, only a handful of TV channels (including an oldies movie channel and loads of Charlie Chan DVDs for rainy days :) ).

You had me at swimming, BBQ, and books :D

Still gotta move the canoe to the front, where it belongs.

It's a simple setup, but we love it :)

The white building on the left is ours too. The old bunkhouse that I'm slowly renovating (my workspace).

Simple is best for a camp anyways :) I like it!

This is the new "trailer" section of our boat/raft that I'd been working on. It stays on permanently - the wood is rated ground contact, the tires are solid.

I'll notch out the 4x4s slightly, to pick up some tire clearance.

It doesn't have to move far - about 200' total, towed by a lawn tractor.

The box on the front holds the battery and charge controller for the solar panel, serves as my seat, using a bow mounted trolling motor. The tiny plastic box on the wood box is a photo sensor - I have a pair of side marker LED lights for night, so someone doesn't run into it where it's moored (right off shore).

Hey guys! I have been a little busy lately. I have heen hunting a big black snake that was eating stealing eggs, killed\caused the death of one of my hens, and ate her baby that was going to hatch. I finally caught it in the act Saturday night, and Hubby killed it. It was coming at night around 10 PM. It was not the easiest task in the dark. I had to hold a light to see for Hubby to shoot it, and then hold the snake with a shovel while holding the light while Hubby finished it off....all that amongst the chickens and ducks on top of us. It was a little intense, but it is gone. Its a nice relief, and I am happy to not have to worry about it eating my 3 baby chicks :)
I have some catching up to do :)
