Good morning peoples!! :) Add me to the not sleeping well club but that's the story of my life. :cry: I did have a lovely chat with an old high school friend last night on Facebook messenger. We're going to meet up one day next week at a local coffee shop to talk about what we've be doing for the last 42 years.:shock:

That sounds awesome! I've completely lost track of everyone I knew from high school... pretty much everyone from my Navy days, too. I'm not really interested in looking any of them up though... :lol:

I still communicate with a few high school peeps via FaceBook. A few from college, too. I don't really go out of my way, and that's on me.

Me either! I see the few that I hung out with in high school here around town but the rest of them? I could care less. This guy I've talked with on the phone a few times. After college he moved to NY and worked in the WTC. When the bombed exploded in the garage in the 80's we actually saw him running out of the building. On 9/11, he slept late so was late taking the train into the city, he said he could see the buildings smoking from his apartment in Brooklyn. He retired and moved back here at the end of last year to take care of his mother.

Looks like I'm gonna be leaving work a bit early today. Gotta take off in an hour and a half to take my Bride down to the doctors. We're meeting with the head of their clinical trial group to find out what else they can possibly offer her for treatment. Of course, we're doing our own research as well, but it certainly won't hurt to go find out what is available here. Any positive vibes and prayers that y'all can spare for us to get some good news today would be greatly appreciated! :wub:

I know, Darlin', and I appreciate it more than I could possibly express in mere words! :wub:
She's just particularly nervous and worried about this appointment, because if they can't offer her anything better than a Phase I clinical trial, then we will probably have to go to a different cancer center. She really doesn't want to leave the one she is at now (they are one of the top cancer centers in the world), but she wants to get the best chance that she can.

Absolutely. I got a PM from another friend yesterday about a website that compiles data about clinical trials. We filled out the pages of information there, and we're waiting for them to get back with us to let us know what other trials are available for her particular case. Hoping and praying that something comes up. :)

Haha,i know that situation all too well too haha.I haven't been hunting since i was a kid going with my dad,but i love going fishing.She absolutely see's no point in it at all haha.we've been together around 25 years,and i've gotten her to go 2 times,she wouldn't try either time though,just sat there complaining the entire time haha,so i didn't go anymore for several years until my boy's got old enough to take them out.
Another one she see's no point in is going to the shooting range.She has never went there with me at all,so same deal,i take my boy's and leave her at home.I get the same response every time we go "what's the point,all you do is make a bunch of noise,and waste money on ammo" haha.
