Asked my Queen a few days ago what she wanted for Valentines Day. She said she wanted a tasty dinner. Woot, ON that. So I call a restaurant that I've eaten at a couple times, she has not. A lil gimmicky, but she likes those kinds of things. They put a big hot stone on the table, and your order comes.. fresh. You put your own stuff on the stone, and eat it as it reaches your preferred level of "done". Kind of nice for conversatin and such.
They asked me what time, and I said 7:30pm. Never made a res here, but it IS Valentines day. Gurl says "Are you aware of our reservation policy?" Uh, no? "We take reservations which give you a priority over walk-ins, the wait time will be about half of that of a walk-in" Hrmm... Weird, but whatevs..
Yesterday, the Queen comes home from Whole Foods. Not her usual store. Pulls out some Tails, and Filets. Woot! Saturday night AND Sunday night culinary delightery! Nope "This is for tomorrow!". HUH?!? Baby, you said you wanted a tasty dinner for Valentines, I made reservations! "No, I'd like to eat at home, have a nice fire.." But I don't want to see you cook on VALENTINES, Baby!. She just gave me this flat look... "your point?" Hahaha.... Guess I'm doing the cooking.
I wasn't very happy about that restaurants "fuzzy reservation" system anyway. So I called em, and said "Yes, I'd like to cancel my 7:30 fuzzy reservation" and the girl was like "I'm sorry? Fuzzy?" Yes, i explained. A 7:30 reservation isn't REALLY a 7:30 reservation, and my wife insists on being late for everything, and doesn't know HOW to start planning for THAT, with your lack of commitment". Hahaha.. I was crying after I hung up the phone..
