Mang, I am a coffee roasting FOOL today. I've been at it for HOURS. The Mrs. ran out while I was outta town, and that's just not me at all.

One of my favorite steps in the process, is separating the Woot from the chaff...

I woke up waaaayyy too early with a back ache. Once my feet hit the floor I felt something running from my nose down to my mouth. Went to the kitchen for a tissue and discovered my nose was bleeding. For some reason this spring my allergies are driving me NUTS!! Normally this is a fall thing for me. Grrrr...

I did the full 5 years of shots 15 years ago. I was breaking out in hives.

This year, with the mild winter, allergies started zapping me early, getting them at the same time as the sinus infection. Of course adding two mupuppies bumps the level

I broke down, started using flonase - It's helping a lot. Next tone I see my doc I'll ask get fire a prescription ( It's available both otc & prescription, I'll let my insurance cover it)

So I do need some guidance here on wires. Anyone use alien Wire? I saw that on amazon and am kind of interested. My only thing is that I do not think most rda post holes will fit them.

Also spaced coils versus tight coils? Why is it better with claptons to space them versus tight coils? Just a curious question here. Always willing to absorb knowledge. Still newbish to RDA's.

That's in tribute to, and support of, @roxynoodle . It is her avatar. She is currently battling attempts to make her accept the very limiting, and expensive status of Supplier for having designed an RTA for free for a company.

She is pretty much THE RTA authority around here, and has contributed a GREAT deal of prime info on ECF, all of which will get wiped out if they change her status to Supplier. She also will be limited to posting in her own supplier thread. A great loss to the community, but how the rules are currently interpreted.

That sucks LLB!!! I love roxy!! She has been a BIG help to me in learning coil building and which tanks to use! She's how I knew about the Taifuns.

Drooling here! I'm limited to the big boxes of generic kcups that I bought at Big Lots a few weeks ago. Not great in taste but caffeine after all. I'll never sacrifice flavor for expense again.

From the way I understand it, with spaced coils as opposed to tight coils, there's more coil space to heat the liquid and it's easier to dry burn and clean. I'm still a newbie to Clapton wire too.

I'm in roasting mode, a couple of folks volunteered to be guinea pigs

The San Jose is a known quantity, good ( to me, I love the chocolate note). The fiesta honey is more of an unknown, some people have really liked it, others not so much. I've also got some non- honey fiesta on the way.

Yep! Got one. But..I won't buy anymore coffee until all of this is gone. If I buy a bag, I won't use these Kcups I already have so therefore, I'm wasting money. I'm odd like that!
