Hey Skully (and Lynn) - I think with the claptons, you're trying to get as much surface area as possible, to heat and vaporize juice. You get all those ridges of the outer wire. I would think if you did compressed coils, you'd lose some of that advantage. I pretty much do spaced coils on everything except my eGo ONE CLR heads or my PT2 heads (clapton or straight wire)
I have one SS clapton on a Velocity that's on my VF Squonk clone. I had to remove the 2nd coil because I was getting a lot of "no-fires" because the resistance was too low. Now, it rocks!

Most of the clothes I wear are from DTC. Our mail lady was delivery a package one day, with a big grin on her face, and laughing. The outside of the package read, "Buck Naked Underwear" ..she got a kick out that.
I've decided vaping makes you crazy. I just went shopping, trying to find something useful for organizing. I came home with a Plano tackle box, and I don't even fish.
And of course being only a few blocks away from the only B&M I actually will buy anything from, I had to stop in. Turns out they have a flavor called Shamrock Shuffle, which Nacho (no idea how he got that name, but that's what they call him, seriously) swore to me tastes just like the McDonalds Shamrock shakes. I bought some without tasting it first, which I never do. I hope Nacho didn't stear me wrong.
So moral of the story, don't go vape shopping on an empty stomache.

I just can't stand to waste money! That's the reason I vaped all that god awful eliquids that I had here last fall before the care packages from you and LLB got here. They were nasty AND too strong but if I hadn't used them it meant I was throwing money(which I didn't have) away.

#1 - Markie's Mark: It has softened and the smokiness has subsided. Still has "bite", but it's also >90 proof
#2 - Beam Me Up Scotch: Smokiness has also subsided. Smoothing out - still "alcoholy-bitey". I'm likin' where these both are going.
I'm guessing at least another week (prolly 2) and I'll start contemplating the next batches

Someone made the comment that they disliked the term vaping because of the connotations and that we should just say we use e-cigarettes. I respond, I think e-cig has more negative connotations, what connotations are you talking about. Naturally he mentioned the 'cloud bros and hipsters' and then he went on with 'the dumb things that some vapers say. I'd be confused about why he calls that a dumb thing, but when he started talking about how there haven't been any studies done, and how vapers should stop spreading that kind of exaggeration and misinformation, etc it was obvious that he was either a troll or was completely clueless about the origin of that statement. Last I checked that was made by people who had reviewed countless studies.
I mighta told him, not quite so politely, to stick his misinformation and exaggeration where the sun don't shine.
Oddly, you wanna know the part of his whole argument that bugged me the most? As an example of the negative connotations of the term 'vaper' he said this picture, which looks like a perfectly ordinary girl to me, was an example of the steroetypical vaper.
