I've used WL nic too...MFS nic is a little smoother to me than WL is.
Actually I think I know where you read it, and if it was SJ who said it, google may have misled you. I think it has a different meaning in British usage than what Urban Dictionary shows. Not to beat a dead horse, but I'm guessing there are limited number of moderators patrolling the forum. There are thousands upon thousands of members. I don't want to see ADVERTISEMENTS from every Tom, Dick, and Harry supplier intermingled among posts where I'm having fun or I'm trying to converse with other members.
How many times do each of US make recommendations about various products to each other? What's to prevent me from sharing a unique juice recipe of mine with a B&M or juice vendor, and they turn around and sell it? If I don't profit from it, does that now make me a Supplier?
I wouldn't want to be a Moderator. That's often a very THANKLESS job.
There are (or at least used to be) some amazing individuals on the forum. To be a true guru and share that knowledge is a gift. To lose that gift is disappointing.

I definitely do feel some.. regret, for the moderators who are taking the heat. Unfortunately, ECF is not a small, nimble, craft. It is a HUGE ship, and effecting small changes of direction, unfortunately, requires applying substantially more pressure on the rudder than what might be considered "normal". A handful of those who appreciate her, making a mention or two, was not going to do even the slightest good.
