I understand why you feel that way, but let me maybe explain a lil. First, some are going WAY OTT, with vulgarity and such. I think throwing ALL the mods under the bus is wrong too, there are some excellent ones.
However, ECF stifles even the smallest criticism. Think of it like a bad marriage to a bully. I can tell you from my own very personal experience very closely similar to Roxy's, that when you think you have been done wrong, and you can't even talk about it without fear of being bullied, beaten, or even stuffed in the freezer, it is going to fester. Especially when YEARS go by. And when it finally blows, it is never pretty. It's what you've seen.
At the very real risk of alienating a friend, I have to respectfully say that what SJ said was a crock. Roxy has done a LOT for friends and strangers, and IS considered THE go-to expert on RTA's. It's Why Augvape asked for her input on the design of the Boreas. That post he used to justify what got done to her, doesn't begin to address the fact that every single mod surely must know her well enough, and all she has done to help friend and stranger, vet and noob, to at least have tried to communicate with her to clear up any misconceptions they may have had about her involvement in that project, and what she benefited by it, which was NOTHING. As captain of the ship, doing anything short of just apologizing for locking her down, deleting all of her well intended information in that thread, and forcing her to either commit to being imprisoned in a single supplier thread of her own, and having all of her old posts deleted, OR, leaving ECF, is nasty no matter what angle I try to view it from.
I have no dog in the issue, I was simply going by what was presented as being the thread intro. The words shown were sales pitch; can't help it, that's how they read to me.
I don't disagree with you, would not have said anything if it wasn't bothering someone else. I know it's a hot button issue.
Truth be told, I've have to be careful over the years, make sure what side of the fence I stayed on. Some of my eliquids were very popular, real suppliers started making them ( they asked first). Likewise I was active in carto punches, again something real suppliers duplicated ( again, they asked).
If someone asked, I would let them know where they could buy something, but I also made reference to my public domain recipes and how- to-build info.

It was actually my mistake, sorry. Everyone is entitled to feel what they feel with no explanations. I understand that some feel wronged but I don't think insulting the general membership is going to change anything for the good.
