Thanks!! Now I have lots to read. But..it all boils down to the fact that if I take time off from work to get Colton's health issues under control I'll probably lose my job. Oh well...my child comes first. :)

Possibly, not necessarily. FMLA = must do. Any given employer can cut employees slack even though it isn't required by FMLA -- discretion on their part.

100% agree with Mark on this one! Talk to your manager, talk to your HR rep. Y'all may be able to work something out together so that you'll be able to take care of Colton and not have to worry about not having a job to go back to. At least, it never hurts to ask... worst they can do is say no, right?

    Missouri...or the state of Misery.
batteries -- I've traveled fine, but to comply with letter of the law, put a tiny tab of elec tape on the terminals of each battery, then put them in your battery cases. Put a spare piece of elec tape on the back/outside of the case, for use on the return flight.

I've left batteries in mods, with them turned off, and tossed whatever tank I'm using into the ziploc liquids bag.

(Walmart has some tiny ziplocs, 2x3 and 3x4, in the crafts area. 2x3 is a snug fit, but can hold an 18650 and still be closed, while the 3x4 IMO is more convenient.)

I love those tiny ziploc bags! I use them for tanks that have juice in em when I travel :)

Not only Texans but North Carolinians as well. These ain't real grits! :)

What Lynn said! I'm from Mississippi, and I have to agree with the line from 'My Cousin Vinny'... "No self-respectin' Southerner would ever eat instant grits!"

I object to this witness being called at this time. We’ve been given no prior notice he’d testify. No discovery of any tests he’s conducted or reports he’s prepared. And as the court is aware, the defense is entitled to advance notice of any witness who will testify, particularly those who will give scientific evidence, so that we may properly prepare for cross-examination, as well as give the defense an opportunity to have the witness’s reports reviewed by a defense expert, who might then be in a position to contradict the veracity of his conclusions.

I always liked this part, cracks me up every time.

Judge Chamberlain Haller: Would you please answer the counselor's question?
Mona Lisa Vito: No, I hate him.
Vinny Gambini: Your Honor, may I have permission to treat Ms. Vito as a hostile witness?
Mona Lisa Vito: You think I'm hostile now, wait 'til you see me tonight.
Judge Chamberlain Haller: Do you two know each other?
Vinny Gambini: Yeah, she's my fiancée.
Judge Chamberlain Haller: Well, that would certainly explain the hostility.

Yep! That was definitely one of the best parts of the movie... of course any scene that had Marisa Tomei in it was a good scene... I always thought she was hot! ;)

I stand by the Interwebs definition. Anything made "in a process called nixtamalization" sounds like it should be something to do with breaking down rocks :D

Meh... all I know is... Grits is good! :p:lol:

How 'bout shrimp, cheese, AND bacon? :D That could be breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner!
Sausage chunks, country ham bits with or without redeye gravy, sausage gravy and/or just plain butter and salt. Grits are very versatile.

A northern family was traveling through the south. They stopped at a diner for breakfast. The young boy ordered bacon, and eggs. The waitress asked "grits"? The boy looked at her quizzically. "Hominy grits" she said. He said, "I guess I can eat 3". :p
