Hi everyone. Been awhile since I checked in. Still smoke free, almost 6 months!! Super excited about that! Just got some vapemail today, got some On Cloud Custard by VapeWild, completely addicted to it lol. Hope you are all doing great!

Heya, Dewdrop! How ya been, hun?
Awesome that you're coming up on your 6 month mark so quickly! Congrats!!! And ummmm... ya had me at "Custard". ;) I really need to mix up a new batch of custard, myself... I'm finishing off a bottle of Honey Nut Custard right now, but I'm over it... it's a peanut butter/honey custard concoction that I came up with a while back. I think it needs an overhaul...

Hi kcdew!

I think I've tried TC mode maybe a total of twice, it didn't do anything worthwhile for me with those particular devices. Since I'm sitting on 30m of txp (twisted pair) 26 kanthal I'm pretty well set for power mode :D

Then again, since my regular devices are DNAs, mebbe I should break out some of that SS316L in my goodies box, for giggles... (No way do I feel like mucking about with nickel or titanium, that's too much like work)

Nickel was a PITA, titanium wasn't too bad, but SS316L is definitely my go-to for TC now! If you've got DNAs, then you should really give it a shot. None of my devices are dna, but I do have a YiHi squonker that can rock a Ti build! :D

Squonking is why I'm thinking of trying TC again, since the Hadaly RDA won't get mounted on my other mods.

A 6 wrap single 26awg 3mm ID gets me to a rational build, looking at it from a power perspective.

Do you have any pointers on a reasonable temperature to target?

SS Wire? I'd start around 400-ish and work my way up. Depending on your mod, you might have pre-heat and/or variable power settings. Personally, I'd set power to what I'd normally run the coil, and then temperature to taste....

Dinger pretty much hit it. But with the Fuchai 213, I have a dual coil SS316L build at 0.2Ω total. My preheat power is set at 35W, and I have my temp set at 350°F right now. I do tend to have to bump up the temp setting as the coil gunks up a bit, then back down whenever I rewick though... But that is with the SilverPlay V2 RTA. For whatever odd reason, it acts a little different than the Mage did. With the Mage, I'd set it at 425°F and run it till it just got too nasty to vape. Then I'd rewick and roll on...

I won't even bother describing the setup on the squonker, because I'm using Ti wire with Ni200 coefficients... it's a little trickier to get that one right, and it's mostly trial and error on the settings. ;)

Hmmmmm... now you're making me question my thought processes. I was really hoping that the Plus would be an improvement over the Fuchai (I really like the new screen.). Gaaahhhh... I hate making decisions... Hahahaha
I thought so too, when i seen the new version,it was a must have mod because i like my original so much.I may have gotten an odd one,but i am not happy with it at all.I hate making decisions too,but the decision to sell that one was a very easy choice to make haha.Really,it isn't a bad mod, after being dissapointed with the color,i started nit picking other things i didn't like haha, seriously though,it does seem to not have the same power as the first model.

Psst! Hex Ohm.

I make fajita tacos. [emoji14] Really, that was the closest picture I could find... Basically, I make steak fajita meat, but I put it on corn tortillas with a little salsa, onion and cilantro (sometimes I'll get fancy and use pico) with a bit of extra sharp cheddar cheese. Call em what ya want, but I'd eat em every day if I could!

I cheat. Living in an apartment is just is not condusive to grilling. I buy the precooked fajita meats from the freezer section & use them with chopped onion & peppers, also from the freezer section. I nuke them together & use flour tortilla"s heated on the stove coil. We add guac, sour cream, Picante sauce, cheddar, & voila! Texmex goodness! The meats are also great flavor in soups, & fantastic in salads. I've chopped up the beef ones & added it to queso dip.

Hahahahaha!! That was a screen pic from a TV show called "Last Man On Earth"... pretty hilarious little sit-com. The guy poured the margarita pool and poured salt all around the edge, then just laid there and got hammered! [emoji38][emoji38][emoji38][emoji38]

Make mine a spicy hot Bloody Mary. Oh wait......hot.......azz.

shenanigans are gettin' lax around here without ya.

I'm trying!

I just had a DELIGHTFUL dinner with a super-sweet couple. She works for one of my clients, and her hubby is a quintessential "nerd" with the most endearing qualities. He's so freaking smart! I got to learn a lot about them that I've never really known before.

Mucho Margaritas had :D Much fun had :D

I "bucked up" and ordered some stuffz from Efun today. Never ordered from them before, but they had a couple of things that were "interesting". Don't like the shipping charges (spoiled by FT) but the average across all the items made it more palatable. And, I should see stuff within 7-10 days TOTAL, not 3 weeks....

Wins on the vaping front, stuff from ft.

Replacement orings are perfect on the sxk Hadaly clone. No longer too tight, snug enough for no leaks. Under a buck delivered for a pack of 20.

The OBS Engine nano lives up to the positive reviews. Well built, trivial to coil for. Excellent flavor using my standard txp kanthal build, plenty of room if someone wants to play with a larger coil. Some folks have complained about having a hard time getting good flavor, I did nothing other than center it so the middle of the coil is about on line with the center of the post holes (the holes are actually offset, so you don't have to muck with a lot of bending).

Edit: this is the oring part: $0.80 Free Shipping Silicone O-Ring Seals for Atomizer (20-Pack) (18mm*16mm*1.0mm, Black: 20-Pack) at m.FastTech.com

Score on the o-rings!

If the nano is anything like the original OBS Engine then I too had trouble getting flavor from it. I loved the design and leak free part of the tank but it was my worst flavor RTA. And I tried a dozen or more builds on it. Currently it is residing in another state with someone who likes it and I have their Limitless Plus. Absolutely love it.

I'm leaning towards the OBS Engine mini when I get the funds saved.

Thanks! I guess I need to read more. Why would I need to know this? Why would I need to do this?
Stay in wattage mode and ya won't! hehehe

hiya hun!! Good to see you. That was a really good flavor, but I couldn't vape their juice. Made me hoarse and gave me a bit of a sore throat. No idea why. Amazing customer service and prices though. Really made me sad I couldn't handle the juice. That was before I started to DIY of course.

I use ss316L in power mode on all my mods.

Same here. Well, actually power mode in one mod.........mechanical mode in the others :D But that's the only wire I've used since I tried it

 this thread moves WAY too fast for a Sloth to keep up with!

Dumb luck on my part. I literally rolled my normal build coil, stuffed it in, getting excellent flavor.

The orings are highly recommended. Just enough tightness so there's zero concern with leaks, while being able to install it and adjust easily.

I just went nano since diameter didn't matter and I'm a 100% single coil person. Also I caught it on sale (like everything I buy [emoji5])

If you're still oriented towards 22mm, I've been quite happy with the Ammit too. Only 3.5ml capacity, but also easy to build and a really good flavor single coil tank.

To me they are engineering marvels, nice side fill and leak free, but flavor not so good. I have an OBS Crius Plus that has awesome flavor but it's bottom airflow.
