Got another "prayers and white light" request. Friend of ours is having some radical "girl parts" surgery to try to remove uterine cancer.

About 20 years ago I was diagnosed with pre-cancerous uterine polypses…several of them. If I hadn't gone for my annual exam who knows if I would be here today.

I can't believe it's almost 2:30, and I still feel like I have a ZILLION things to do
My friend's surgery was moved up from 4:00 to 1:00 today. I'm guessing she's still in. I'd asked her to have her Dad text me when she gets out. (I'd have asked her Hubby, but the two women with whom he works took VACATION DAYS today so they could go SHOPPING 
so he had to work today)

It's coming up on 3:30 am local time, waiting to catch a lift to the airport to start the trip back home. A very busy, though hopefully productive, couple of days, with a super long meeting this afternoon.

The Midwest contingent has sent some brisk welcome home weather my way. CNY is due to be in the mid 20s when I get home Friday, dropping into the teens over night. It looks like we'll need all the pooches on the bed for foot warmers [emoji5]
For comparison, this was what it was like when we stopped for coffee after our first meeting this morning:

Report from our friend who had surgery yesterday - docs believe they got ALL the cancer. Had to get into some lymph nodes, but the prognosis is very, very good. Thank you, Warriors, for your support. It's such a blessing to be among such caring folks
