Hi. I recently got a Kayfun 3.1 clone by HCigar. I have lost the o-ring separating the drip tip from the tank. That's the only reason I can think of when it comes to why the tank is leaking and going through juice so quickly. Does anyone have any ideas of what else it may be? The clone is my first RBA and I am new to all of this.

Does anyone know where I can find a replacement o-ring?

Thanks.

In one of the Kayfun related threads someone mentions getting an assortment box of O-rings from Harbor Freight. I would imagine you can find one that will work that way.
I can't understand why that particular ring would cause your device to leak. I'd be more concerned about the ring in the top cap that the chimney passes through. If that one is damaged, you would not maintain vacuum.

I am still learning how to use this thing. This is my first RBA. I may have just fixed it. I think I may not have had the chimney tightened down enough and there may have been just traces of wick sticking out from underneath. I trimmed the wick and put it all back together tightly. Hopefully, that will fix the problem. Also, do you know if the o-ring on the drip tip is supposed to go inside the drip tip itself or does it sit on the chimney post that the tip screws on to? I got a second opinion from someone who also vapes, and he said I hadn't lost the ring (we found it) but that it was just supposed to go on the post. I am waiting now to see if it still leaks.

Thanks again.

Mine is a Russian, but I believe they are pretty much the same.
If the chimney is not turned down tight enough it will leak for sure. I can verify from my own error....lol. Whenever I put juice in now, I always check to make sure the chimney is tight before putting the juice in. I found that I was loosening the chimney or the evap. chamber when I took the top cap off due to the tight fit of the O-ring in the top cap. After a few fills, the ring had loosened up enough to not be such a problem but still hold vacuum.
The drip tip has the O-ring on it and you screw the drip tip into the top cap. I don't think you would lose this ring easily. The O-ring for the chimney just sits in the recess or the top cap. This one can and will fall out, so you must check it each refill if filling from the top. (hope my descriptions make sense)

The o-ring that interfaces between the drip tip and the topcap will not cause a loss of vacuum in the main tank. If you are having leaking related to faulty o-rings, the likely culprits are:

1. The interface between the top cap and the chimney (5mm x 1.5 mm)
2. Any of the main tank o-rings (19mm x 1 mm)

Besides o-rings, there are a couple of other faults that could compromise your tank vacuum integrity and cause a leak... such as faulty threading (or cross-threading) of any of the tank sections, especially the PMMA/polymer window section which is easy to damage... or a faulty fill valve...

I get my o-rings at McMaster Carr.
