Kayfun clone poppin

When I hit my nemesis with a kayfun 3.1 it makes a pop inside when it hits. Hasn't affected taste or anything and hasn't ever happened. I did change the wick out last night after switching over to a lighter juice. Doesn't continuously pop just at the start when I hit the trigger. Any idea what that is? My juice is a 50/50 18mg nicotine 18650 battery.

May have disturbed the coil. could be a loose connection arching or a short in a loop.

I generally wet and fire mine just before final assembly.

Its your juice boiling....how many ohms is your coil? My kayfun lite is at .9 ohms. Pops a bit but it works great. If it tastes good and its not getting in your mouth you're fine. My guess is you're running low ohms. ?

i had this problem with one of my juices. i'm led to believe mine was cause by the wick or the juice itself as I still have the same coil but only changed wicks/juices

It's a 1.3 coil. May be the juice because this is the first time I've used it in the Kayfun. Tank is about empty so I'll probably rebuild it later this evening. Not a big issue but wanted to make sure I am not damaging anything and wondered if it was a common issue.

That may be the case as well. I did dry fire it before I re wicked it

I get a coil like that once in a while, usually it's a good sign of great conductivity. It fades as the coil builds up some oxidation.

Yea this is the third time I've rebuilt it but it's still vaping amazing!!

Typically I can tell how much build-up I have on my coil by how much its not popping. One juice in particular I vape lasts almost exactly 1-1/2 tanks before the popping just stops and upon disassembly I can verify that the coil is almost completely covered in some sort of candy-like "shell." To me its a great indicator of coil performance at that moment.
