When I put my finger over the airhole the next hit is a burst of flavor is there a way to reproduce this all the time or is this one of those slices of heaven that can't be duplicated automatically ?

kayfun 3.1, Lite or Lite plus? Are you using high VG liquids?
It sounds like your liquid flow isn't good enough, check your build maybe the coil/wicks are too close to the liquid holes or the wicks doesn't sit close enough to the deck.

Using cotton or silica?

using cotton 75-25 pg/vg I place my wick on the edge near the channels or I get dry hits .
To tighten the draw do I turn the screw right or left ?

Right...Just experiment with it until you find your preference.

It's probably to much cotton. I run 30-70 pg/vg with the air flow adjustment taken out and never had dry wick problems.

You turn the screw to the right to tighten the draw.
