So I've been using my kayfun Lite for about 2 months now. I've done multiple builds all around the same resistance.

Currently, I have a .7 build in it that has been in there for about 1.5/2 weeks. Starting yesterday, it's been getting very hot after about 5 pulls. It's never done this, even with the same coil for multiple weeks. Last time I changed the cotton was about 3 days ago, and normally I let it go for 5 days.

Nothing has changed in my setup. I'm still using my Nemesis with my Sony VTC 4s.

I actually had to take it off my mod last night at work because I was worried it would damage the battery. It got hot to the touch, but the Nemesis and battery were cool.

What could be causing this sudden temperature increase?

Is it possible something may be interfering with airflow? Bit of debris in the the airflow hole for example? Imagine it would get hotter if there was suddenly less air hitting the coil.

Honestly, that was my first thought as well. I checked the air hole, and nothing was in there. Also, the air flow during my pulls hasn't changed either. I'm stumped lmao

A) compare air flow to new. Tightened air flow can make draw harsh
B) Compare flavor to new. Loss of wicking will produce Hot hits.
C) Confirm coil Ohms. some times things can get shifted, come loose, short or just plain wear out early.

My money is on C
You say everything is the same.................. Even the e-liquid?
Have you cleaned the 510 connections?
Are you making sure the Kayfun is Flushed on the mod? I ask because there should be heat transfer - dispersion.

I haven't checked the resistance since the last time I changed the cotton. I'll check it when I get home.

Yes, I exclusively vape Hawk Sauce from Mt Baker as my ADV, so that hasn't changed.

I've cleaned the contacts in the Nemesis and always make sure there's nothing in the 510 of the kayfun.

Yeah, the kayfun is flush on the Nemesis. What bothers me is the Nemesis is cool to touch. The way I understand it is if there's a temperature problem, it should be evident on the kayfun and the mod as well.

Not really.
A battery excessive load will quickly show in the mod itself.
A atomizer running Low ohms will manifest in the Atomizer first.
A partial short of the coil will simply accelerate the heat in the Atomizer..... unless it goes dead short.

A Overly warm Atomizer and mech is fairly normal if vaping heavily or vaping in a warmer situation.(reduced dissipation) The hand brings the mod temperature up quite a bit on its own.
