32GA is pretty thin, and micro coils by design take advantage of compressing all that heat into as small of an area as possible. At 2.6 ohm I'm surprised it's burning so quick and hot but the best thing you can do to fix this is either A.) Reduce the length of your draws which will allow wicking to work more properly or B.) buy some thicker gauge wire such as 28GA.

vape well, vape often :vapor:

I agree with enoch. You should use 28 gauge. 10 wraps gives you about 1.4. 32 gauge is too thin for micros trust me. Ive experimented with them all. And your ohms are too high. Plus make sure you don't wick with too much cotton. put the tails up through the chamber and cut them about flush with the top, then push it down but don't jam it down. Then put the chimney on.

Sounds like a feeding or wick problem. Make sure you have the wick long enough to lay on the deck but not pushed down over the air channels, you want it close and it can lightly touch the channels but you don't want it pushed down on them to block the juice.

If your wick is fine try priming it a few times to get it started. Put your figure over the side air hole to block off air flow then take a strong draw while releasing your finger. This should pull liquid through the channels and get it going.

I guess I don't understand why you feel you need it to be that high. The provari can fire down to 1 ohm and its not dangerous. Don't be afraid of it. Use like a 5/64 drill bit. Or sometimes I use those little blue handled screw drivers that come with lots of the RBAs.

I would prefer to get to about 1.6 - 1.8 ohms.. If I get some 28ga, what diameter coil should I use? How many wraps?

I think 1/16" is the most popular but I'd have to wrap one quick to figure out how many wraps. I typically wrap on 3/64" which would make it a nano coil... however to reach 1.6 - 1.8 ohms I would put at least 17-18 wraps. For 1/16" my best and most accurate estimate would be around 12-13 wraps.

Again, I'd have to test that to be absolutely certain but it should be close enough.

30 guage on a 2.4 mm thread with a 6/5 wrap is about 1.7 ohms, but check on a ohm meter to be sure. 28 guage takes a long lot to heat up and is used mostly by sub ohmers.......,,,,,, at least that is my view.

For 1.6-1.8 ohms I'd go with 30ga over 28. You can get there with 28 but you'll have more lag time due to the length of wire. 28ga is good for low 1'sh or sub.

Also, the biggest problem I have seen by far when it comes to micro coiling a kayfun is overstuffing the cotton. You don't need nearly as much as you think you do...

Very true, cotton swells when it's wet. You just want enough that it's easy to slide through the coil and even on the ends, If it starts to bunch up or take a bigger diameter than the coil when pulling it through the coil, it's to much.

At 1.2 to 1.5 you're golden, even with 28GA. Pump at least 8-10 watts and it's not really even an issue, but this could affect draw and flavor so it may not work for everyone. Works fine for me though. 30GA is a good middle ground for sure.

Ive tried a bunch of builds with my kayfuns and Russian. I keep coming back to the 10 wraps of 28 gauge at about 1.4. On the provari I vape it at 4.3 volts and on my DNA 20 13 watts. Still the best vape Ive had, and Ive tried just about all the bottom feeding attys out like the Aqua that people try to say is the Kayfun killer. Its not
