Kayfun Lite Plus V2 makes me cough

I bought a kfun clone because as a new vapor its the law. Running it at 0.6 ohms and 16w. I know it is suppose to run at about 1.5. The guy at the vape shop made the coil
I am doing my best to like it because as a new vapor. I think they come to your house and take all your juice. If you don't but all it does is make me cough. And the vapor output is real light. I know it is a mouth to lung device and not suppose to be blowing clouds. But still

Kayfuns are flavor tanks... not designed for clouds.. rewrap a coil set for 1.2 ohms and enjoy the flavor... not enuf airflow for clouding..

To get it two 1.2 is it the wire is it the wraps ?

I do 7 wraps of 30g on a little blue screwdriver ... 1.7ohm is the sweet spot me.

The Kayfun Lite v2+ has been my everyday vape for over a year.

Both affect the coil resistance.
More wraps = higher resistance (ohms)
Thinner wire = higher resistance.

28 AWG is thicker than 30 AWG

No it is likely the heat
.6 ohms at 16 watts is 473 mW/mm² (HOT)
1.2 ohms at 12 watts is 178 mW/mm² (not hot)

+1. Crank down that coil and it should cool off a great deal. It will never blow cloud, it doesn't breathe well enough. But it's an enjoyable little tank for MTL.

Well I tried to make the coil. It fired at 0.56. But it fired and from the middle out and it was my first. The diameter was way to small. I am going to buy a coil master V2 for Christmas

It's absolutely wonderful when that happens It's been long, long ago, but I still remember how it felt the first time I managed one that vaped well. FYI, I'd still go a good bit higher than .5 in that KFL. 1.2-1.8 is where they shine. (My wife vapes in that range and she's (ahem) borrowed my KFL. I don't expect to get it back, but I won't mind much as I vape in the .5 range myself, lol.) Regarding coil tools, the Coil Master is a nice one. I have a very similar device by a different manufacturer. The people who love them love them absolutely. However, the one I use day to day, and considerably less expensive (I bought it on sale from MyFreedomSmokes for 3 bucks) is this one:

You don't need a coil wrapping device, there's nothing to wrapping a coil , endless tutorials on here. Use any size drill bit from as small as 1/16th up to 7/64 or slightly larger .

Hold the bit in front of your face and with tension wrap the wire around it one coil snug up against the other , i use 28 gauge and wrap around 7 or 8 times which gives me an ideal coil for a Kayfun deck , pinching the coil together with a flame will compact it.

No wonder your getting a cough , vape a Kayfun at 1.2 or above , even 2.0 ohm's work fine.

what mg milligram strength liquid are you using.

if you are using 20 mg at 16 watt it will make you cough

6mg at 16watts should probably not make you cough.

try 6mg;

you'll taste your vape better and be better able to detect any dryish or burntish hits, which is something else that will make you cough.

I run my coils at 2.1 ohms on the Kayfuns. It's 10 wraps of 28 gauge at 3mm. I generally run that between 15.5 and 16 watts. It's not cloud chasing level, but definitely flavorful and the clouds are enough.

If you want clouds with a Kayfun style deck get a lemo2 or subtank mini and use the RBA section .The air flow is just not adequate to support sub-ohming with a Kayfun unless you modify it but why trash a good atomizer when so many cloud tanks are available. I use my Kayfuns from 1.0-1.5 ohms ( I own and use regularly five; 2 lite plus's,2 V4's and a mini). also 18-24mg nic works ok to help you out in an clearomizer because the vapor production is weaker . but when using a superior tank such as a Kayfun 12mg would be MAX nic I would run in one of those the throat hit would be much to harsh otherwise .When I started using Kayfuns a year ago i promptly switched to a 9mg strength and within a month was using 6mg and thats where I have stayed in my Kayfuns . 12mg would make me cough now even at 1.2 ohms id be scared to hit it at .5 talk about a choke you out vape .at .5-.6 ohms you might even just be burning your wick at that low of a build. The primary reason we all started vaping was to stop smoking tobacco don't start smoking cotton.
