Vaping for a month but just started coughing.

I've been vaping for 6 weeks and I just bought a Vaperz Cloud Hammer of God unregulated mod and a Zephyr Buddha and this thing is making me cough like crazy. It doesn't burn, it just feels like my lungs are drowning. I've taken smaller hits and it doesn't help. The build that my buddy at the B&M helped me build is 20g nichrome so I think that's it. I guess my question is: Will this coughing go away, will I adjust to it? The funny thing is that at the shop it didn't make me cough at all and now I'm dying every hit I take. I've been drinking a soda so my throat isn't dry. It feels like it "re-liquifies" in my lungs and I'll swallow the vapor and I end up burping it up if I don't cough. Any ideas?

I switched juices. The first one was 95% VG but the second was 50/50. I think maybe i'm just not used to the amount of vapor yet or how warm it is. I've using the HoG for about a week but I was using the mutation X V4 running 22g at 3.7v and 0.2Ohms so I think maybe its the build too. Thanks guys, I'll keep trying your suggestions!

How many ml of liquid are you consuming a day? 20 drops = 1 ml. Vaping is better than smoking but vapor can still cause some lung irrigation so your body is obecting by coughing. My smokers cough went away within a week or two of quitting smoking but now I have a couple of coughs a day because I probably take more hits vaping than I did smoking. I'm going to increase my nic from 1.2% to see if that encourages me to vape less. I don't seem to crave nic so much as it tells me when I've had enough. A cough may decrease over time as you adjust to vaping but vaping less is still better than vaping more.

I guess I'll be the one to point out the obvious. You've been vaping for 6 weeks and are using a Quad 18650 box mod. Dude, that's nuts. Just like anything else, your body needs a reasonable time to acclimate to a new activity. What you've done is the equivalent of taking off your water wings and going cliff diving. If you have a mod that produces less power, like a regulated mod, it will give you time to see what you can or can't handle at this stage. I love the HOG and want one myself but I have reservations and I've been doing this for 2 years. Ease up just a bit for now and the monster lung hits will happen. Most of all, be careful.

if you have been vaping 6 weeks at 10 mg nicotine at 10 watts, then you suddenly start vaping 10mg at 80 watts, you're going to have a problem

drop the nicotine to 1mg if you are vaping at 80 watts.

(and if you've only been vaping 6 weeks, I'd recommend aiming for more like 30 watts for a while)
