Kayfun Lite Plus Vape Temp Issue

Trying to see if the new member forum can help with my issue before I have enough posts to check the technical forum.

Now to my issue. I have been running my kayfun lite plus on a nemesis clone at .7 ohms of 26 gauge wire. My issue is that after my latest build and all subsequent builds, my vape has gone from pleasantly warm to flat out cold. I am wondering what is the issue with the change in vape temperature?

Below are all the ways I have set up my kayfun and still gotten a cold vape:

Mech: Nemesis clone
Battery: Efest 2500mah 35A battery (always fully charged)
Wick: always organic cotton
Coil: 26 gauge micro coil in 5/7/10/12 wraps which is equivalent to the same in ohms .5/.7/1.0/1.2

If anybody has any thoughts on what to do that would be helpful as I am about to give up on the kayfun after loving it for so long.

Two possible issues one is to look at your coil it may be gunked up and not warming up your juice as it does when new and clean. this is an easy fix just drain your juice back into your bottle, disassemble, pull the wick gently from the coil. heat the coil up to glowing red with several pulses of power, once its red let off the power and dip just the coil into water, do this a couple of times your coil will look brand new. rethread your wick and vape. The other possible issue is getting accustomed to the vape at a certain temp This seems crazy but has happened to me a few times causing me to ramp my watts to 15. I vape my juice t 11-12 watts normally so to rid this issue I vaped at 5 watts for a day then went back to my normal wattage and all was well for awhile. You wont be able to do this with a mech unless you have it kicked though

This issue is happening on new .5 ohm builds so the coil being gunked up is not the problem. As for getting accustomed to the vape, I've had the kayfun vape be colder than on my nautilus which seems ridiculous. I use 50/50 juice in all my tanks/rbas so I am not sure how the kayfun vape is colder. Also my friend has a kayfun 3.1 and has run into the same issue of a cold vape. I don't have a kick on my mech and my builds are too low for my svd so theres no way to change the watts.

Did you pulse and check your coils before wicking and vaping? Sometimes they need to be pulsed a squeezed to get a nice uniform glow. Only other thing I can think of is the screws are not tight on the coil leads, causing a poor connection and not heating up efficiently. I vape my Russian at 30 watts, and tis a nice warm vape.

Break down the tank and check all your connections and what not, tighten screws, and do a pulse check on the coil. Can't imagine a 0.5 ohm build being cool. Also might try and adjust the air down a tad, to much air can cool a vape, but don't think the Kayfun breaths quite that open to cool the vape down drastically at 0.5 ohms.

I see I assumed it was over time on the same coil build. Have you tried a newer battery in you mod? clean up all the contacts on the mod to make sure your getting correct power to that coil. If you have a way to test what going into the coil I would do that as a reference check. You can use a multimeter. Other then that Brother I'm at a loss here

I have tried 2 different batteries in my mech and always pulse my coil to make sure its uniform. My screws are always really tight to ensure a good connection and the coil glows evenly and fast when i build a .5 coil. As soon as I put juice on the coil it seems to have gone all downhill and create a cold vapor. I have a .7 ohm build on my patriot rda and it spits more vapor on a test fire than my .5 ohm coil in my kayfun.

Like you epic, I am at a loss here as well. I bought the kayfun to get a warm vape which it was for a while but now its back to cold.

Hmm, I would probably throw in another build after breaking everything down and given a thorough cleaning. Can't think of anything else to try. Maybe you bought some wire made from radioactive waste and it is causing a cool down. lmao. sorry about that, have used the Russian for 9 months now and never had this issue.

This is probably a silly question, but when you fire it, are you giving it a sec for the coils to get hot before you take a pull? That 26 gauge is pretty thick, and it can definitely take a while to heat up.

True but at .5 ohms it shouldn't take very long at all.
Try blowing in the first second or two then hit the unit all while keeping the button pressed see if that helps
