I'm currently using a Aerotank and loving it atm. But was looking at some of the RBA's at a local vape shop. They had a Kayfun lite + and a Aqua and from looking at them they seem to be a very similar design in the way the coils and chimney are arranged. Any opinions on which is better? different performance between the two?

The kayfun is the easier build for a beginner , it's a bit more forgiving as far as wicking goes and you need dual coils to get the most out of the aqua , the kayfun has a larger capacity and tends to use less juice than the aqua making it a better choice for out and about IMO . Start with the kayfun and get the aqua after you've gained experience in rebuilding , though you might not find it necessary , the kayfun is an awesome vape !

I agree with this 100%. I just built my first coils the other day for both of my Kayfuns, and it was stupid easy to do. I used cotton for the wicks, and got it right the first time on both of them. They produce an excellent vape, and I couldn't be happier.

I own both. Both are awesome rba tank systems.

The Aqua is a native dual coil rba. with both juice control and air control. It's basically best suited for sub ohm vaping. I have a vertical mounted 0.3 ohm build on mine. The Aqua is a meticulous rba to build properly. but is fairly easy to do once one has worked out how. I would NOT recommend it to a first time vaper because of this, also having juice control adds an extra level of consideration and learning.

The Russian has a larger tank capacity, and vapes quit well from 8-30 watts. Has great flavor, good solid vape, and fairly easy to build. I good choice for a first timer or an experienced vaper.

All atomizers have different characteristics, subtleties, pros and cons. These two are similar but not even close to the same. So which is better, the one that has juice in it and don't have to refill. lmao.

Get one, then get the other later, or get both, depending on your current gear.

I agree with everything said above about the KFL+. Easy deck to build on, great overall design. If new to rebuildables, I'd stick to the single coil design of the KFL+ to the dual coil design of the Aqua. Only issue I've had with my KFL+ is a little leakage via the air intake hole when the juice level gets real low - I've been told that this is normal and is related to the negative pressure/vacuum design of the Kayfun-style tanks. Fill this tank with a needle-nosed bottle or syringe via the juice fill hole on the bottom of the KFL+; not by removing the top of the tank (this upsets the vacuum).

Hate to throw another choice into the mix for you but I am actually a really big fan of the Taifun GT. Easy to build, works really well........good for a beginner and close to the same build as the Protank II (meaning, if you use a "flavor wick" to fill the gap; it is perfect). I agree with the comments on the KFL+ as well but I didn't buy the aqua because of the dual coil set up.

A lot of reviews of the Aqua I read said the dual coil is more of a requirement and less of a choice.........so to speak. Being new to building coils and trying to get two exact coils on your first run can be annoying along with mounting both coils with only two screws.

Kayfuns a great choice for single coil above 1.2 ohms If your looking for a dual coil for sub ohm builds a fogger V4 is a WAY better choice than an Aqua

hmm have only seen the Fogger online so wasn't thinking about it, but will consider it. But probably down the line, this will be the first RBA I mess with so trying not to get too over my head with things.

The kayfun is the way to go for your first rebuildable. The Fogger is like the Aqua - it's made for dual coils. A single coil like the Kayfun is going to be much easier to deal with.

Yeah, umm, the fogger V4 is a POS. Crappy small mounting screw heads, shoddy metal in post, positive post stripped out before I could even mount it up. This is the last fogger I'll ever buy, just a inferior quality product. POS. Changing out the post to something worthy will be necessary for mine, right now it is totally worthless. Good concept, crap production. Could of been great, but it's a looser. A drawer space filler.

First rba, go with the Kayfun, everything else is more advanced to build correctly. Although the Flash-e-Vapor V2 would be an excellent rba also.

a friend of mine had a russian 91% which is a 1 to 1 kayfun clone it is a good vape with awesome production. i have also heard good things from the v4 fogger. unless you have experience with rebuild, the lower verson foggers especally the v2 and 2.5 can be a time consuming build. took me afew days of fine tuning before i could find the sweet spot between tasting burnt cotton and flooding the build chamber
