Kayfun V4 sure aint no kayfun killer

I'm getting dry hits after a few good puffs, For the first time I've burned through wicks. This has never happened on my other kayfuns or russians (or any of my other attys). Also it just seems over complicated. I've tried several wick styles, including that which works great on my other kayfuns. I'm not giving up on the V4 yet, but I sure am frustrated with them. Mine are the Tobeco clones.

definatly sounds like a wicking issue, and i hear ya - im tired of rebuilding this orchid clone, every wick/coil attempt leads to an unsatisfactory vape.

currently setup in dual coil mode(as it is designed to) with a total 1.8ohm build. using 32G wire, regular spaced coils. anything below 12W on the istick wont produce vapor, and anything above 14W "burns" - trying to atleast beable to hit a decent RANGE, not just stuck to a 1W range that is killer on TH and has no vapor.

There have been quite a few reports of people getting dry hits and having wicking problems with clones. My Tobeco is much more temperamental than my authentic.

I suspect some clones have juice flow problems.

It's possible you don't have an issue with the V4 - you've simply bought poor clones.

would defiantly attempt it on the KF4 - but in my case of the orchid v2, the "juice flow" is untouchable for the most part, theres almost no way of opening or closing it.

Aftter you finish building the coil and inserting the cottons into the channels...tighten the Orchid chimney all the way down and then back off two or three full turns.....couldn't be simpler.

Do you have anything you can run the Orchid on besides the istick? With the 1 ohm limit and being overpowered it definitely works better with single coil attys.

Sounds more like a problem with your iStick than anything else. Voltage stepping is probably horribly inaccurate. I found that to be the case with my ZNA clone. My tankometer exposed all of its flaws. I rarely use the ZNA because of it.

I had an issue with my Kayfun 4 by HCigar, it had a horrible metallic taste, 3 hot water passes through an ultrasonic cleaner with some palmolive (with oxyclean) dish detergent and a 1.5ohm coil, now it vapes like a champ. As far as the different clones go, I've always had the best luck with HCigar, EHPro never performed as well as the HCigar (for me at least) in the Kayfun 3.1 and Lite plus.

Your Doing it Wrong! The V4 is at least 10X better than the old KF's
Do some research & make it work right Instead of posting titles that Absolutely Ridiculous!

Although mine are clones I'm not sure if makes any difference.....
listed below are my vape devices I hate more than the kayfun v4

oh wait, there aren't any.

Huh, I'm surprised. My orchid v4 tobecco clone never dry hits. The damn thing leaks all of the time, usually randomly, but never dry hits. I usually coil it at .8 ohms and vape it at 20w. I've gone to 30 and seemed to work well.

I had a lot of issues with my ehpro kayfun 3.1. The whole time that I've owned it it would dry hit. I have some other kfl+ knock off that I picked up at a vape shop that I'm assuming that they bought from fasttech. Probably the most reliable rta that I've ever owned.

Maybe get an authentic before making a judgement. Possibly, just possibly there may be a complete difference. That's like judging all cars because you bought the cheapest Yugo you could find. On second thought, you are just trying to flame so good luck with that.
