I like building with 26 gauge. It's very easy to work with. 24 is even easier but I'm not familiar with the tobeco clone and whether 24g will fit. It really depends on what resistance you want to achieve. Go to Steam Engine and play around with the calculator. I'd start with something around 26g or 28g.

I'm a fan of 28awg for my Kayfun but that's just my preference. I did just purchase some 26awg recently though and, who knows, I might change my tune soon. I use 30 occasionally as well with good results. Make sure whatever you decide to use, keep it above the MVPs ohm limit which is .8 ohm I believe. Good resource:

The MVP 2 severely limits what you can do with the Kayfun 4. With only 11 watts of power to work with I would build it single coil only at around 1.8 ohms using 30 gauge wire. To see and taste what the dual coil Kayfun 4 is truly capable of, you would need (at a minimum), 15 - 20 watts.

What battery setup would you suggest with the kayfun 4? I liked the MVP only for the fact that I could charge the battery via USB while I was sitting here at my desk at work. I do hit this all day at work maybe I would just have to get 2 sets of batteries if I went with something that wasnt USB chargable?

I used 30g on my russian91. 28g I had to have way to many wraps I can't remember how many wraps of what size, but it was usually 1.5ohm for my mvp. The b&m shops here you can buy kanthal by the ft. Maybe you can get a couple feet of different gauge wire to see what you like.
Also like someone else mentioned. you might want to keep your builds around 1.5-2.0. It performs a lot better.

I would recommend getting a 30+ watt regulated mod that uses swappable/replaceable batteries AND that has on board USB charging. The 30 watt IPV mini, Cloupor 30 watt mini, 60 watt IPV 2 (or many others), would suffice.

Lithium batteries are good for a few hundred charge/discharge cycles before needing to be replaced, with mods that use a built-in "proprietary" battery (MVP, Eleaf iStick), once the battery goes so does the mod. With mods that use replaceable/swappable 18650 batteries all you need to do is replace the battery and you're good as new again. I use the $6 Samsung INR18650-25R 20 amp 2500mAh battery 18650 Samsung INR18650-25R 2500mAh High Discharge FLAT Top - Batteries - Batteries, Chargers, and PowerPax Carriers buy them in pairs and always have a new one ready to go.

Str8, thank you very much I never realized that you could get those 18650's in 2500mAh. Fortunately this morning my friend brought me in all his old Ecig stuff to give to me since he is done with it. Must be $500 worth of stuff I need to look through but I know he had 2 30w mods in their.

THanks again its greatly appreciated for all the replies.
