KBV Pineapple Shake & B's Strawberry Pie

I posted this in KBV's forum but I thought I might get a better response here:

Hey folks, I got my first order from KBV in about a week ago. I filled up a carto tank with the Strawberry Pie, and I noticed a faint menthol flavor. At first I though it was some residual flavor from a brand new carto, but it lasted through two tank fulls. I loaded up a fresh carto (no tank) with pineapple shake, and got a much stronger menthol flavor to the point where I couldn't even vape it. I tried in a 510 lr atty and the menthol was there, but a bit muted. This is a big turn off for me because I usually love pineapple based liquids. Both flavors are 18mg 60/40 VG/PG with regular flavor.

Is menthol an ingredient in these two flavors? If so, are there any other non menthol flavors that have menthol as an ingredient? I am dripping some OMG right now and it is pretty good, but the left over menthol taste in my mouth from the pineapple is throwing everything off.

hmm. I have KBV's Pineapple Shake but not the Strawberry Pie. I don't get a menthol flavor in mine. I haven't let mine steep (just a few days). I don't have any ideas as to where that may be coming from but I would contact KBV and see if maybe it was a mixup or a custom order for someone else? If it was a brand new carto I don't have any explanation as to what else would be causing that.

I haven't tried KBV's Pineapple Shake but another brand adds Koolada to theirs to make it cold. It is not a mint flavoring it just makes a cold feeling in your throat like a menthol would. I wonder if that may be what you are tasting? I add Koolada to many of my juices because I like the cold feeling in all of my icecreams, iced teas, and some fruits it is a nice additive.

I vape menthol. I have gotten KBV pinapple shake. I think it's good, a little too sweet for me and heavy on the 'shake' but I didn't notice any menthol at all.

Maybe you got a bad batch or something. I didn't get any menthol at all.

I got this reply from KBV:

"There is a slight bit of menthol in the Pineapple Shake, but it is designed that way, and people like it as it makes it cool like a shake. There is no mint/menthol at all in the Pie though."

The menthol really throws this flavor off for me. I never use menthol anything. I want to put it up for trade on the classies, but I need 300 posts first. I will let it steep a while and come back to it in a week or two.

The Gooey Better Cake is my favorite juice in the world. There is no menthol or mint in it. I know that you can get any flavor you want without menthol/mint if you ask boB and Missy not to add it. I also think if you allow some steeping on the juices you have it my mute the mintyness a bit.

That is odd because I seriously don't taste any menthol at all. The could be because I usually vape menthol exclusively, even add it to my fruit juices.

Maybe you're more sensitive to the taste because you don't vape menthol and can spot it quicker than me.

You should have no problems selling it or trading it, it's a popular juice and it's hard to get their juices. I have a bottle or I'd buy it from you. I'm really wanting to try their cantaloupe.

I also love the Hummingbird Nectar and that has no menthol/mint in it.

I just opened the Gooey Better Cake and I am dripping it as I type. Damn good! I am going to fill up my carto tank for a night out! Any tank cracking ingredients in there?

I am really liking the prices of KBV, and I will definately order again. They were quick to reply to my emails, and on my next order I will order it without the Menthol. I also just ordered Millennium Milkshake from Zombie Juices in a tank safe config. I have high hopes for this one!! AND they are based out of my hometown (Spokane, WA).

Nope, no cracking issues with the GBC. It is a bit thick even at 70/30, you may need to take dry draws here and there just to make sure your carto stays wet.
