Okay guys. Brand new here. I have been analog free for about a month now. I jumped in with both feet. I got a Provari with an Aspire Nautilus tank. I would have paid twice what I did if I knew that this was the key to finally quit smoking. I even mix my own juices. Here is my problem. I love the Nautilus but I'm having a problem with the coils. I had 3 short out (E1 code) and another 2 go from 1.6 ohms to 3.5 ohms and not work well. I'm freaking out with one coil left. My question from the pros out there is do I buy more coils or make the shift to a rebuildable? I've been looking at the Kayfun lite plus. (Based on reviews) I tried to rebuild my Aspire coils but they don't seem to turn out quite right. Please let me know your thoughts and what a good rebuildable would be. Thanks for the guidance.

That's a similar point I was at when I bought my first rba the Russian. While the Nautilus produces a fine vape, it can never compare to that of a great rba well built. I vape the Russian and the flashi at 30 watts, and really loving the vape. The Naut maxes out at about 11 watts and can't wick enough.

Fair warning though, once you go rba there is no turning back to the changeable side. Being able to customize ones coil build and choice of wick, adds a whole new perspective on ones vape.

I did buy a Nautilus just to try out, while it does vape great, it just doesn't compare. Sold it along with my Provari to a co-worker. Since I never used either anymore, I passed it forward.

Well you have RDAs, RBA, and RTAs - lots and lots of choices.

Only aspire I have is nautilus - which I don't rebuild - dual coil - bottom coil not really accessible. So no rebuilds on that joker for me.

If you want to try dripping and rebuilding - I would recommend starting with IGO-L ($10): roomy for single coil and a great performer - great platform for developing skills and trying out different resistance values/flavors quickly.

I rebuild Kayfun lite, AGA-T3, EVODs, mini pro tank II and a bunch of drippers.

Kayfun lite gets good reviews from most everyone , even most clones.

The obvious plus sides of rebuilding to me include, but not limited to: economics, quick changes for flavor testing, different materials and techniques of building experiments - fun hobby.

There's lots of Rbas on the market. it's hard to only pick one. Check out YouTube video rebuilds on some and will give you a better idea on what to choose. Clones are very cheap to pick up. Hone up first on coil building skills. You can make a great coil even on a cheap device good. Try a couple of cheap Rbas and see what you like. imho

If you don't mind building coils, go with RBAs. On a properly built decent RBA, vape quality is noticeably superior to every clearo I have tried. I'd recommend a vacuum-fed RBA like a Kayfun or Taifun GT (or clones). Costs for clearo heads add up quickly, and you will save money over the long run by going to an RBA.

I've been thinking about doing the same thing, but I got 3 boxes of protank and aerotank coils still plus I am still pretty new to vaping. My brothers got a patriot clone coming in the mail so I'm gonna see how that works for him and probably get one myself eventually if rebuilding is as good as it sounds.

I don't mind building coils at all. I did have one turn out good on the Nautilus but it's quite the pain. I have the Kanthol and Ekowool. I love to tinker and build things but the Aspire is just a bit of a pain. I think I may look into the the Kayfun lite plus. It seems to have a good following. Now the remaining question would be are the clones anywhere close to the real deal? Does anyone on here have both. Thanks for the info. This site is absolutely fantastic. I have learned a ton. You guys and gals are great.

I do love the Nautilus. It is awesome. I just don't want to keep eating up coils. Maybe I just got a bad batch of them. I haven't seen many bad reviews of the Nautilus at all so maybe it was a fluke. I think I might still get a Kayfun and use them both. I do like the idea of rebuilding because I would never run out of coils. 100 feet of Kanthol should last quite a while. I think I might get the real deal though. I did go look at some Kayfun clones today. Not too bad but not quite as refined as I would like.

I have not had any issues at all with my Nautilus coils in the few months that I have been using them. Mine seem to last forever since i clean them about once a week. I do use light flavors as well though. If you do decide to get some, they are only around 12.55 per pack here during this sale and shipping is low.

Good luck!

Same here, cartomizers, clearomizers, or anything factory built for that matter just doesn't cut it at all for me. I recently tried a co-workers Provari/IBTanked setup but no thank you, the effort required to pull in a good flavor and thick vape exhale is more work than I'm accustomed to now that the Kayfun and/or various RDA's have set the benchmark for me.

Hi everyone, I'm sorta new here (been lurking for awhile now). I have been vaping for about a month as well. I have the Nautilus also, and I have had no problems with coils at all. In fact, I have been using the same factory coil for 2 weeks now, no degradation in the quality of vape. Hmmm, I say no problem with the coils but, I'm only using 3 in seperate tanks. Not much of a base line for quality control! :D But, I have had no problems as of yet.

I rebuild my coils on the Aspire Nautilus. Took a bit to get the hang of it but once you know exactly how to do it then it becomes a breeze. I also use Peaches and Cream Yarn ( boil it first in small strands ) from Walmart. It takes the guess work out on how much cotton to use. Just twist the end and thread it thru the coil.

Here's Rip Trippers video ( he uses cotton tho )
