I started using those stretchy ponytail hair bands. You can buy a pack of a couple hundred in different colors for just a couple of bucks. If you find the right size, they will fit a carto perfectly. I keep an updated master list on an index card for reference in my vaping tackle box. Someone else, I think MistressNomad, mentioned using orthodontist rubber bands.

As odd as it may sound, I found an effective way to identify one from the other. It only works on some cartos, specifically the ones with the soft silicone white end piece.

Get some RIT brand fabric dye, available at Walmarts or fabrics/crafts stores. Pour a small amount in a small glass container, like a shot glass. Add water, half the amount of the dye in the glass. Heat in the microwave for about 30-45 seconds. Put the silicone end caps into the liquid and let it set for about 20 mins. Take them out and wash them clean using soap and water, rinse well. The end caps will be whatever color you dyed them. If they aren't dark enough or the color isn't strong enough for you, reinsert them into the dye after reheating the solution in the microwave again. I use red for cinnamon, green for menthol, blue for pinacolada, yellow for pinapple, brown for coffee, black for tobacco.

Thanks Natalia!! Found it by accident when we tried to re-dye a shirt with bleach stains. It permanently dyed a white plastic bucket so I thought I'd try it on the carto ends. Works great for me and doesn't leach out or taste or anything. Incidentally, it also works on white plastic ego XL carts. Wanted a blue cart and a red cart to go with the red and blue egos.

I can't wait to try this! Thanks so much for posting the instructions :)
