OK, so i try to keep track of the number of times that i have refilled a cart. Every time that i refill one, i put a dot on the cart with a sharpie..... One dot, equalls refilled once, 2 dots refilled twice, etc,etc.....

Do this just so that i know if a cart has been refilled once or twice...as opposed to 4 or 5 times.... just trying to keep track so i can trash the really old ones (i dont want to waste a full fill of juice on a cart thats old as crap and wont preform!)

But the dots wear off still, and i have to keep touching up the dots everytime i refill.....

does anyone else keep track,
and if so... whats your method....

i need something that works out a little better!

I opened up a brand new cart to see what it looks like. Now I just "eyeball" the used ones, to see which resemble new carts the most.

The entire refilling process was basically confusing and a bit hectic for me at first, what with all those little pieces and parts hanging around, condoms everywhere. But I'm starting to get a routine down, and it's becoming much less a pain in the .... I order 2 packs of new carts per week, so it gives me a bit more to work with as far as refilling.

When they start looking used up- (all "fuzzy-like" imo), then it's time to chuck em. (that's how I "keep track" :))

Honestly, I haven't tried this yet because it's an idea I just came up with and haven't refilled yet. But this is my new plan...

I'm going to use a scalpel or exacto knife and put a little line (like a ticker mark) on the cart (on the battery end close to where the label overlaps) for everytime I refill. This way I have a running count.

I used to make marks on the cartos, but as you've mentioned they do come off. I have resorted to having a book with a page for each carto. Now I write when I refill them, how many drops it took and what I refilled it with. A bit over the top and I might not stick to it, but it might help me identify trends. Also knowing how many drops it took helps me to not overfill. And then if I use a custom mix I can remember what I put in there.

Well,
in addition to completely cleaning (hot water and blowing technique) 10 carts earlier today.....
i went through all of my used carts and replaced my old system (the "dots) of marking the number of uses with the new idea of the "notches"

.... great idea, and it works perfectly...as well as quite easily too!!!!

i just used a nice pocket knife of mine (way too many to chose from, as i collect knives!!)... and put a nice cut/slash in the wrapper for each number of times refilled.... right at the point where it overlaps itself, with the notches starting at the base (nearest to the batt connection)

this site rocks!
...as well as V4L (obviously!)

thanks for the idea
