Kennedy & Rig V2 question

I have been in a regulated box mod phase for the past few months, so my mech's have been standing in my vape cupboard gathering dust. After feeling the urge to get back to my "pure" ways, I popped a Velocity Mini on top of my copper Smpl and was quickly reminded of why mech's are that extra bit special to me over these new computerised gizmos.

I have decided that it is time to get another mech and another rda too. After a good nose around I have spotted the Rig V2 is SS which I am incredibly tempted by, in addition to the Kennedy 24mm in SS.

My question is, will that combination actually work? Because of the dimensions, does the hybrid cap make contact with the battery with this sized Kennedy, or do I need to be getting a 22mm version? Also, does the airflow get affected on the Kennedy as it sits slightly under the lip on the tube?

The Rig V2 has a 25mm OD. Should be fine.

The K24 does not recess into the top cap, but rather sits on the outer ring. You need a button top cell to establish a proper connection. No fitment issues with the K22 (recesses into the top cap), but airflow is affected.

Checl out the Kennedy Roundhouse for pairing with a K24. It's a nice combo.

Ok, I have googled the rig v2 and there are a lot of set ups with the k22. Just how much is the air flow affected?

Both Kennedy 24 and 22 will fit the Rig v2, however the 24 would have its airflow completely blocked, whereas the 22 in theory would be okay, but may be somewhat restricted.

As such not an ideal pairing, your real question is do you want to build your system around the atty or the mod.

There are plenty of mods that work well with the K24/K22 and there are attys that work well with the Rig v2.

Since this is a mech mod forum, I assume you are primarily after the Rig v2 and its natural pairing is the roughneck

TBH, I am torn between a few combo's. I like the limitless and Kennedy 24, the Rig V2 and Tugboat V2 and I like the Tugboat V2 mod with either the Kennedy 24 or the Tugboat rda. Trying to narrow down which way to go.

@Donnie Alexander,what other addy would you go with on a rig v2? Have my Kennedy 22 on mine but feel it should go on something else for some reason even though it's not effecting airflow very much. Do not know much about the roughneck to purchase one.

I had first bought the clone crap kit of the rig v2 with the roughneck v2 to give it a try before I invested that much money into a mech and rda. That first day I got the clone in I bought the authentic rig v2 and I will be getting the roughneck v2 soon enough. I really thought I would hate the roughneck because of the 3 post and the airflow but I love it. I drilled out the post holes to fit a dual alien Clapton in their and I couldn't be happier. The flavor I get from my bird brains is out of this world for some reason. I would recommend the roughneck without a doubt.

You need to get a 22mm 510 heat sinc adapter to get it to fit. You can find them on FT. Also, the alliance v2 kit comes with a 510 spacer/heat sinc adapter. On FT search Kepler Adapter or something of the like.
