The "Little Sister" from Ken's Box Mods is a super value - $50 bucks for a refurbished VV mod you don't have to use a screwdriver on and is super small (size of a bic lighter).
After a lot of reading of reviews and doing a lot of thinking about what to recommend to a new wanabe vaper who is pretty broke - I decided to suggest this mod - this would be her first PV. Think about it - she could use virtually any carto or atty of any thread (w/adapters - which she also purchased 510/801, 510/901/808) - she could really experiment and dial into her sweet spot for any juice.
Ultimately this is a huge cost saver for her - and the Little Sister is doing just fine after 2 weeks of use. This new vaper is very happy with it, and has not had any problems at all. I had read that there was a problem that came up with the switch if juice from dripping got in there, it could short it out. I think this may be it's only weak point but Ken told me he is using a new switch and it seems to be doing better. I taught her to drip in a very conservative way and asked her to use the 801's when dripping to begin with - they are so forgiving! So now she is using the 510s, 801's and 808s happily. When she bought she got the kit with it: 4 batteries, a charger and a 510 atty - her choice - a reg ohm (again starting conservatively). She has not blown any attys. She finds that she tends to vape at the high side but dials it down a little if the juice needs it.
So, she bought a white refurbished unit with kit and one adapter - took off 5% discount for ECF users and - it came to her door for < $85! Ken - who is very helpful and honest (and delivers a extraordinary value - he even has a good warranty!) sent a drip tip along as a gift! Thank you Ken!
