I have just recently started vaping to get off the analogs. After reading tons of info on this site and watching youtube, I decided to go with the Kgo 1100mah battery.

It is a great battery, but I am thinking this battery is too hot for me. I noticed with vision stardusts that the flavor was always burnt tasting when the battery was newly charged, and as it wore down to about its battery's half-life, the stardusts (LR) really kicked in with good flavor and vapor. I thought I had all the little tricks in hand to make the stardusts work, but then I noticed that they were really great when the battery was at its lowest level. Could this be?

I am assuming that the voltage wears down as the battery wears down. If this is indeed true, would I be happier with an ego-t 900mah? Is there that much difference between the 1100mah battery and the 900mah battery, or should I even kick down the voltage to the ego 600-650mah battery?

I would be okay with a smaller battery as long as it would last me all day since I usually charge them overnight. OR, would it just be better to change from the LR stardusts to the SR resistance. Any ideas would be so appreciated. Thanks!

Valjean, welcome and congrats of working ur way off cigs.

The mah rating on the battery's stands for Milliamp Hour (mAh). Which is to say, how long the battery will hold its charge. That rating does not reflect the voltage of the battery. It is true that some batteries fade a bit with the voltage they put out as the battery life runs down. This is why many folks like the “variable voltage” batteries so they can adjust the voltage to best fit the total vaping device. As in your case, with a vv device you could adjust the voltage with a twist or a touch of a button each time you vape. There are many different vv batteries out there, but the eGo’s seems to be a fine entry level to introduce the concept.

Good luck with things

I'd also recommend the eGo Twist in this case--you'll get the ability to adjust the voltage, and good battery life on top of it if you choose a larger version. The Vision Spinner is also compatible with your stuff, the markings are easier to read, and battery life is nearly identical.

mAh is only the size of the gas tank, not the power of the engine. :) With the Twist or Spinner you could adjust the engine power whenever you like. Personally, I vape around 5.5 watts (or pretty low) and favor lower voltages for that reason. Some people like it a lot hotter than I do!

Variable voltage gives everybody the chance to find the vape they like.

A twist can be cool, if you want to play with variable voltage (VV); I keep one in my car as a backup, fine little PV.

Any true non-VV eGo will be regulated output, keeping it consistently around 3.3V, as opposed to the kGo which starts up around 4.2V then tapers down as the battery depletes.

Regulated = keeps consistent voltage (until the battery is too depleted to supply that output).

If you like a stardust after the kGo has run down a bit, you may well like the regulated eGo as is.

So which models would be considered a regulated ego? Is there that much difference between the 4.2 which I think I read tapers down to a 3.4 volt--if I am not mistaken--and an ego which is jut 3.3v? Would an ego twist (VV) be able to go lower in voltage than that? Also, the Kgo 1100mah is not a regulated model? Geesh, I didn't read that when I was searching for info.

It takes at least a day or maybe more for my Kgo to go down in voltage to the point where I enjoy it. But I am not a steady vapor--only when I start jonesing for a cig.

I started with the Stardust...evolution has moved to Kanger Evod for this style clearo, massive improvement...with the Kgo battery your golden. Both my Joyetech Ego batts died an early death, and both were new models, one was the 1000mah twist that lasted 6 months and the other a 3 month old 1000mah upgrade model.
