Oh no, my week old kGo 1100mah batt just died, I have an email out to vendor I'm sure he will help me, but I'm freaking out. What if it happens to the other one?

Here is what happened: my batt flashed like it should when it needs charged, I charged it, 2hrs later light turned green, I put on a carto and nothing, I figured it was carto, popped on another, nothing :(

Thought maybe it was wall outlet, its fine. The cartos I tried worked on the other batt, what the hell. So I charged batt again but this time used usb in computer. Green light was on but I let sit for 2 hrs. Put new carto on, batt flashes three times and nothing.

Ugh....

I love my vendor, and I love my batt's. I don't know what happened other than it stopped working :( at this pt I still believe in a kGo :) and I have confidence my supplier will have my back! U are going to love it!!

Main reason I posted is to see if anyone else had this issue, and I'm freaking out .... What am I going to do for 2 hrs while the other batt charges? Lol

Bumping this thread as I didn't feel the need to start a new one to complain about my kGo dying on me.

I got my kit on the 23rd of Feb and alternating between 2 batts, a couple mods I got later, and then some Go-Go batts, one of my kGo's has already died as of a week ago. It's not even been 3mths and the use of it wasn't consistent so I'm more than just a little disappointed. Maybe it shorted out???
It took a full charge... couple hours.. worked for about 5min then did it's repetitive flashing and then went off. I put it back on the charger and the led on the batt just flashed several times and then went off and the charging light stayed green. Guess this means it's either dead or possibly shorted out as I really can't see one of these dying this soon.

This happened to me early on in my vaping with a Riva 650 mah battery. I have been alternating 4 Riva batteries (two of them 1100 mah) since March, 2011. They are starting to act peculiarly, but I imagine they are approaching the end of their lifespans. I swab the charger contact and the battery contact with alcohol. Sometimes, if I think the light turned green too quickly, I remove the battery and reconnect it again to the charger. Sometimes I have to loosen it ever so slightly and then I GENTLY lay it back down so I don't disturb anything. It usually turns red again and charges some more.

Sometimes if your using low ohm like 1.25 or even 1.5ohm Carto's or Atty's they can overheat your mosfet connection on these type of Batts and Ego type Batts. It's best to either rotate between two Batts or give the one your using a small break in between vapes so it doesn't fry the Mosfet connection. The ohms on a carto can also drop as it gets older, so if your using a 1.5ohm carto it can lower to 1.0-1.2 ohms or go the opposite way and go up in ohms, either way use 2 Batts and rotate or give them that break they need so they dont get hot, and if you notice a change in the way the carto or Atty is vaping and its getting hotter ditch it.

I have a friend that is having an epidemic of issues with his kgo. He originally bought a kgo kit with two white batteries and an orange led in the button. He had problem with them sticking sometimes. He returned them and he asked for the black one with the blue led which he has now. One of them died a few days ago. The button will flash and then nothing. I sold him one of my used black with blue button kgo batteries. Now today his second kgo batteries dies now. He hasn't had these very long. The battery I sold him work great. Now he feels like the vendor is going to think he is crazy so he doesn't want to bother him with it.

Some reason he is not having luck, but all of our friends, me, and my wife have bought these from the same vendor. That is a total of 14 kgo batteries between the rest of us that are working fine, but he has had 4 batteries with issues.

He can't see how the charger or himself is a problem because the one I sold him isn't dying.
