Hi All,

I'm just starting out putting together a list of the materials I'll need to make my first box mod.

With the help of posts on here, I think I've managed to nail pretty much everything apart from identifying a suitable board.

I'm going for a fairly simple VW device so what I need is basically a Kick on a flat PCB.
I don't need mad wattage, external adjustment, displays or anything like that.
Just a simple, internally accessed gizmo that'll let me set my wattage to where I like it.
Like I said, a Kick on a board.

I suppose, if push comes to shove, I could actually solder wires to a Kick and rig up a mounting but I'd prefer a more elegant solution.

I've searched but can't find anything suitable.

Any clues please?

Ta in advance.

Chaps,

Thanks for the input.

All the Evolv DNA chips, and clones thereof, are out due to the 7 Watt minimum output.
7 Watt is pretty much at the top end of where I vape any of my favourite juices - 6 Watts is typical.

Looks like I may be hard-wiring a Kick, or maybe a clone, but I've not given up on the board idea just yet.

Please shout if you have any other ideas for a cheap, simple VW board.

Hmmmmm. Just curious- what are the demerits to the DNA clone chip? I have a Vamo clone chip in my box mod {FastTech VOMO} and it works flawlessly.

:vapor::vapor::vapor:

I was going to suggest this also.. the Fasttech VOMO or the Vaperbreak Vamo board (same thing.. Vamo V5 pcb..)
You could always keep it internal, with the exception of the firing button (which you can run wires to for an outside button) and just set it and forget it.. 1 18650 (or 18350 or even 1 14500) battery is all that is needed.

If you do the research on different sites not all clone chips are the same manufacturer.

There are three different clones maybe more out there of the dna.. YMMV you have to research chips manufacturer well before purchase a clone dna.

Funny thing is nobody knows where the chipsets are manufactured nor can you find a data sheet for them.... at least I can't find the info.... if ya know please post...

Lol that is the rub, it is said, 'cloupor chips are good, but then which site sells cloupor chips, its so difficult lol... The fasttech chips have no reviews yet but the cloned cana mods are getting mixed reviews. averaging 4 stars but that may change when more are shipped. They have not said what chip manufacturer they have --its been asked numerous times too..
