A couple months back, I picked up a kick and extension sleeve for my SB. The kick worked great...while it worked. It would shut off frequently, which lead to a ton of frustration for me. Resetting it usually only required a shift of the battery, but that was more like; open the battery holder, close it back up, take off the carto/dct, slap it back on, and then sometimes it would only work for a few hits before I had to do it again. I'm all for micro-management, but that was getting frustrating.
Then about two weeks ago, I ordered a vivi tank and it wouldn't screw into my SB...but it did into everything else I owned. I thought that this was strange, so I made a post (right here, actually) and Mr Chad had me send it in, and he replaced the 510 connection on my SB.
Once that came back, I filled up the vivi tank and proceeded to burn out 3 attys...Not super impressed with the device. That's neither here nor there though.
Now that the tanks and things all fit better, I decided to give the kick another try. It hasn't stopped yet..knock on wood.
Anyhow, I think that the 510 connector may have been the issue I was having with the kick.
