Kidney Puncher- Russian 91% preorder delay

I have a Russian 91% on preorder from KP. Ship date was delayed from Dec. 5th to Dec. 18th. Anyone else in this situation? Anyone know whats going on? I wanted to get this soon as all I have now are two nimbus rda clones, and im tired of dripping on the go. I need a tank in my life. I dont want to order something else in stock because I'm tight on funds. I understand this is out of KP control but it would be nice to know what the hold up is.

The company that makes the Russian just completely did not plan on things blowing up like they did. I had a Russian on preorder from Vapor Tek USA - Amazing Deals on Electronic Cigarettes! from the summer til October before I cancelled it on account of buying a Reo.

I've had a pre-order in on a second Russian 91% from VaporDNA since early October. Here are the updates I've gotten along the way:

November 19:

We just wanted to give you our most recent update for the Russian 91% and explain for the delay as we initially had a ship out date for the earlier in the month. We were recently told that the incoming batch of Russian 91% that we are receiving will be the Version 2. Since we are receiving the newest version, that fact alone contributed greatly to the delay in ETA in addition to the time spent being inspected by Customs. The Russian 91% Version 2 has an upgraded stainless steel material for better quality and look. All other features and extras it comes with will be the same. We expect to have them before the month ends and they will be shipped to you as soon as we receive them.

December 6:

We were just updated over the Thanksgiving weekend regarding the arrival of the Russian 91% V2 to our warehouse. Initially we were told by the manufacturer that they would ship it to us before the end of the month and that we would have it within a couple days. Due to some changes on the manufacturer’s part, they have delayed shipping it out and for the incoming batch we will be receiving less than what they initially promised us. The manufacturer told us they'll be shipping out the Russian 91% to us this weekend and that we should receive the shipment in roughly 2-3 days after its been shipped. We understand your frustration with the long wait and the constant changes with the new updates. We hope that you may forgive us for the delay as we have no control over the manufacturer and the changes/updates they give us.

We wanted to assure you however, that your place on the waiting list (# 6) will guarantee that you’ll be getting your Russian 91% V2 shipped out to you next week.

We wanted to deeply apologize for any inconveniences this has caused. And we also want to thank you very much for your patience.

It does have a tracking number as of yesterday, and this morning USPS lists it as "Electronic Shipping Info Received", so I guess it will be here next week for me, but I assume KidneyPuncher is in the same boat.

Looks like I get my christmas present after all! Wishing I hadn't bought a rocket earlier this week now...oh well. Now I will have two tanks. The rocket isnt that bad either...havnt had any leaks or flooding whatsoever. 1ohm microcoil on 30guage with a cotton wick.

Mine was an update from VaporDNA, not Kidney Puncher, so I wouldn't read too much into the stock vs shipment portion of my posting in regards to the Kidney Puncher order. Hopefully yours goes off without a hitch.

It appears my shipment is at the post office this morning, though... so huzzah for good vapemail today!

I prefer the airflow control location on the Russian v the KFL+, I like to be able to adjust it without having to remove it from my mod. Build-wise, my first Russian 91 was a bit squeeky in the threads, hopefully that's fixed in the v2, I'll know in a few minutes!

but thread issues can be fixed with noalox, how was the draw did / do you get a whistle sound when you vape? I get a lot of whistle from the new KFL+ compared to the old KFL model without AFC :'(

Ugh, that was the most frustrating build of my life!

Apparently Kebo saw fit to assemble the deck themselves, unlike with my v1. Thinking that they knew what they were doing, I built coil after shorting coil, only to find out they hadn't assembled the center pin correctly, so I was loosening the post instead of just the contact screw.

As for the draw, there's a slight whistle, but it's actually a little less than my v1. I keep a fairly light draw, so it might go away if I were to tighten it up more.

damnit I wanted the Russian 91%'s matte titanium finish... I really hope mine doesn't arrive all shiny....

I hope so, I wanted it to match as much as possible the finish of my new Futura. I ordered the Titanium finish one, I guess bushed stainless would be fine too because the Futura's top cap is brushed stainless.

It is, I have a v1, and got the v2 today, the external finish is the same. Really, the only difference I've been able to see eyeballing it is the quality of metal used in the chimney and the size of the o-ring in the chimney to top cap.

I have a clone and the whistle from the afc kinda sucks.....

Cotton balls must be laced or they have a boiling method we have never heard of.
