killa vanilla, sucks lately...

i'm a huge killa vanilla fan, my first bottle (11mg 30ml) i received back in december 2010. it was so good, fantastic vanilla and super creaminess to it. i had other vendor's vanillas and they weren't even close.

my next bottle of killa vanilla was in may 2011 (24 mg 30ml) and it was lacking what the original one did. here it lacked the rich creaminess and was just really a vanilla. i let it slide, wasn't bad but it wasn't the great knock your socks off vanilla i was used to. i speculated it could be due to the summer heat, variations in manufacturing, or nicotine level.

now i just received another shipment of killa vanilla (18mg 10ml 2ea) today august 2011. this is now the worst eliquid i have ever had. absolutely no vanilla let alone the rich creaminess i've really been desiring for months. this juice seemed to be just vg/pg and nothing else, totally unvapable. reminds me of a mcdonald's coke that had all the ice melted in it that is just water with a tiny bit of brown.

i went to other vendors sites that sold killa vanilla that had customer reviews and i remember older comments hailing this flavor as the greatest vanilla ever. but, the newer reviews call it an average vanilla, one said high caliber has really been skimping on flavor, and another proclaiming it awful. seems spotty lately.

anybody else having a terrible experience with this flavor (high caliber's killa vanilla) lately? does summer shipping skunk the merchanise? any insight would be appreciated. thanks.

alright, reading around some have "aged" their vanillas for a month and they tasted better, any truth to that or is eliquid supposed to be good from the get go?

Depends on what liquid... I know my BWB Vanilla Bean is a completely different vanilla after a couple months... the flavor deepens... the only other vanilla I have been that crazy about is digitalcigzz: The Vanillazz! Same story there...

I have had the High Calibur... It was too strong for me...

hey lasttango, thanks for the input about aging. i've heard some age theirs after a month and they're better. still, my killa vanilla is way off, not even an inkling of vanilla traces. digitalcigzz's vanillazz, yeah, i'll have to look into another vanilla if killa vanilla is going to be so inconsistent (we'll see if the vendor can do anything on their end). drives me nuts 'cause the first bottle i had for killa vanilla was so damn good.

alright, i'm desperate about getting a good vanilla and i don't trust waiting for another possible skunked killa vanilla, so, i ordered two bottles of digitalciggz vanillazz (18mg 10ml), i read a few reviews and vanillazz seems like a good vanilla to take a chance on.

might also want to try Nitelite Vapors Vanilla Straight. i havnt tried it (will on my next order) but ive heard its good. everything i have ever got from NLV has been really good and their customer service cant be beat. they also have really good prices. you can get 10ml for just over $3 and 30ml for like $10.

thanks for the suggestions mfactor, if my next vanilla flavor is not to my liking i'll give it a shot, just i need not just a vanilla but a thick overwhelming suffocating creamy vanilla (that's what killa vanilla used to be).

i got a reply back on the ticket system from the vendor, the usual we don't exchange liquids and too bad if it's not to your liking 'cause we can't refund everybody that wasn't happy with liquid's taste. basically what i expected. i replied back and reclarified that i was a fan of the flavor and that something was up with their manufacturer's formula/quality (so if others complained they'd know for sure and not be some random ecig newbie complaining).

anyways, like lasttango suggested, i'm going to age it for a month or so and re-evaluate it's vapiness, as of now it's skunk junk. if i can find this thread in a month i'll update if the flavor miraculously appeared so we can tell if it's a manufacturing thing with the flavor being "too new" or if it's just a terrible batch.

"i love killa vanilla, it is hands down the best vanilla out there if it's made correctly. my first bottle was perfect, it was a thick overwhelmingly suffocating creamy vanilla that was impossible to put down, my second bottle was just plain vanilla, my third/fourth bottle was absolutely disgusting (no traces of vanilla at all, let alone creaminess), i think high caliber messed around with the formula/bad quality control/or shipments getting skunked by the summer sun/heat, i really love killa vanilla but i'm scared to order it now 'cause you can't be refunded on a bad batch of eliquid, you can take a chance and get possible the best vanilla eliquid ever made or skunk junk..."

oh yeah, i tried the new killa vanilla on a dual coil (what a waste of new unit), 510 atomizer, 3.7 volts, 4.8 volts and it's armpit body odor no matter what. i cleaned out the same atomizer and put in my old killa vanilla and it's pleasant, cleaned it out again and put in the new stuff and it's bitter funkiness...

an update, vaporassociates/highcaliber called me on my phone addressing the issue of my bad ejuice. we talked for about fifteen minutes about their manufacturing/processes and with so many variables after the liquid leaves their facilities we both concurred it mostlikely could've gotten funked during delivery in a mail truck oven baking for days en route from las vegas to washington and then to florida.

awesome customer service i got from the supplier/wholesaler, i was impressed that somebody there would take a good chunk of time out of there day to call me personally and discuss eliquids. they're going to send me a direct batch rush shipped from las vegas straight to me, no extra travel time, no extra storage hours, just good fresh juice.

my faith has been restored to the vaporassociates/highcaliber/killavanilla people, i'm glad that they are taking every effort to rectify my situation without any fault of their own, customer service is a huge part of the ecig business and these guys are awesome. when i receive my fresh batch i'll make another review for them as they have taken great steps in my eyes to redeem themselves.

so, i look forward to getting my vape on, special thanks to vaporassociates/highcaliber for standing by their customers when an occasional shipment goes awry.

I'm glad you took the time to post this, it raises an interesting point.

Yes, juices are like moving targets, always steeping and changing and no vendor who is out for profit should comply with everyone's wish for a new bottle if dissatisfied.

But OTOH, it is becoming a competitive field, and if a vendor puts out a junky product, I think something should be said publicly if they refuse to at least hear you out in private if you have a valid point.

Both ends of the party have to act responsibly for all this to wash out clean.

hey drak, thanks for the post. it was challenging to communicate that i wasn't complaining that i didn't like the flavor but how the flavor was not tasting as it should. having two separate shipments in hand and both tasting entirely different was an issue. i knew for a fact that the shipment got skunked, i was informing the supplier/vendor about the issue so we could all together put our heads together and come to a solution to identify what caused it. from much communication it appears the manufacturer has very high tech equipment and excellent quality control, aging vanilla was just for personal preference and the juices don't need to be aged, the biggest thing none of us has control over is the shipping process. shipping containers in the summer are internally ovens and i've left a bottle of juice in my car during work and had the liquid breakdown and funk out (smell/color/flavor), so we concurred that the deciding factor was most likely extended periods of my shipment being in a hot transport but usually never happens. to be safe i may bulk up during the winter and stash it in the refridgerator or something to make sure i have good juice, especially with consistent high 90s during the summer...

I have had 10 bottles of killa vanilla from alt smoke and 2 other suppliers since march. Aging does not help it, but I use ultimate vanilla from tasty vapor that is so much better and sweeter. I am slowly mixing some of it with the tv vanilla so I do not waste it. I think what happened is Killa Vanilla supply ran out last winter, and when the batch came in the formula was different, and it was in a different bottle which caused some aftertaste also. Another great vanilla is Ms.T gourmet vanilla, but they won't allow you to buy more than 2 bottles at a time, but the flavor is A+++.

i had two bottles of tasty vapor's ultimate vanilla during the spring when they were on sale for like ten bucks for a 30ml. it was alright, but had an unusual aftertaste for me. i had the perfect killa vanilla beforehand, rich and creamy. my ultimate vanilla that i got was just basically a straight vanilla with a tiny off chemical taste, manufacturer variances and other factors i guess. i'm supposed to get shipments coming in from three different locations (all vanillas) but i'm on my last couple drops of vanilla as of now, i'm going lean then fat. if i get desperate i do have a french vanilla extract i could brew with some miscellaneous juices if it comes to it, i'll keep my fingers crossed that i won't have to resort to some mutant freak juice though...

alright, so new update, vaporassociates/highcaliber/killavanilla sent me some replacements and i received them today. my rogue/off batch i ordered before was only two bottles but they sent me three killavanilla bottles plus five of the little sample bottles of various flavors (boston creme, strawberry shortcake, etc, i can't remember them exactly and they're upstairs).

i got to work right away. i opened the package and smelt the bottles, much better, i vaped it and it was good stuff. this batch was made super fresh and i can tell with a little bit of age to season the vanilla flavor that this stuff is definitely going to rock. so far i vaped it on a regular 510 atty (3.7 volts) and i filled up a brand new dual coil mega (3.7 volts). i'm charging my 4.8 volt nimh battery and i can't wait to get this juice going at five volts. good stuff.

i was hoping at best to get a replacement of just my two bottles. receiving three would've been great. getting three plus sample five-pack was above and beyond above and beyond a terrific producer could do. i'm very impressed by such a fanstastic personal experience with highcaliber. there's doing the right thing (a replacement) and there's above and beyond (giving up an extra bottle) but me receiving so much liquid and so many flavors i'm just dumbfounded.

if i was a monkey i'd give vaporassociates/highcaliber/killavanilla four thumbs up. since i'm a human, i can only give two thumbs up and two big toes up.

another thing, i tried out vanillazz as lasttango suggested as an alternative. i received that shipment today also. i sampled it too. digitalciggz's vanillazz is very similar to topvapor's ultimate vanilla, it's more of a sharper not exactly tart/bitter vanilla but not as smooth as killavanilla is. depends upon personal preference but as lasttango said, it too will need aging to get a peak flavor.

I just received a order from altsmoke and one of the flavors I bought was the Killa Vanilla. Every review I have seen raved about this stuff so I figured I could not go wrong. When I got my package I excitedly raced inside, put a cpl drops on a freshly cleaned atmoizer and poof, this stuff is absolutely disgusting. It is soo sickly sweet and the flavor may have a hint of vanilla in it but its hard to tell. It actually makes me gag.

Now I understand about different tastes for different people. I have a few flavors that I just dont care for, but this stuff is repulsive. What it seems like to me is there is too much flavoring in it.

I wonder if when they are making this stuff if its not being blended properly before they are filling the smaller bottles with it since some of the complaints in here are saying there was not enough flavor. (opposite of what I am saying)

DC Vanillazz was my first vape..and continues to be one of my heavy rotation vapes...they nailed it with this juice!! I've been fearful to try other vanilla flavors as Vanillaz has been so killer. Why fix something if it's not broke
