Killer 705 510 adapter question????

I was lucky to purchase a EA mod, killer 705, and a trap tank. I enjoyed it throughout the day. But I notice the coil had a burnt taste. Well, my luck I screwed up the adapter and it won't thread into the EA mod. It screwed on my provari, my ego, and my 510 to ego adapter. So will buying a 510 to 510 adapter be the same as having the adapter that came with the killer or am I S.O.L??? Please any assistance would be helped greatly. Thank you for your time.

The adapter that comes with the killer is proprietary. I tried using a common shorty usealed 510 extender with Killer and it was too short for Killer’s center positive post. I have not tried any other size 510 extenders, though. The Killer center post and center post of its adapter are floating and held in, somewhat, by a small insulating piece of tiny tubing. Both center pins can be easily removed just by pulling them out. I think center pins on common adapters are very different. Some are almost fixed and some can be adjusted up and down by screwing them counter and clockwise. I don't know if they can be taken apart without breaking them. Haven't ever tried. What ever you try go gently and test connections for shorts.

Sorry for the late response. I tried a 510 to ego adapter and it worked fine. I'm gonna order some 510 to 510 adapters and see what will happen. Still disappointed at myself for messing up something so nice so soon My friend has a AMP tank so I might try to buy that from him and use that to get the killer back in working order or just use it as a dripper.
