Well, clone, actually.

I did find the huge thread about it, but couldn't find the answer in it :(

I tried using it with just resistance wire (30ga). It was too thick and cracked the ceramic cup. I tried it with 32ga wire, and cracked the second cup :)

Only after that, I realized that I'm supposed to use non-resistance wire. And here come the questions:

1. I found some 30ga resistance wire. Am I correct to assume that it will be too thick?
2. Is there a place that sells replacement cups? Or should I buy and dismantle some CE2's?
3. If 30ga resistance wire is too thick, what's a good thickness of the wire that would keep the cup in place without breaking it?

Thank you!

I'll try to answer your questions, but I don't own the clone but have the real Killer 705

1. On the real 705 I can use 30 g non-resistance wire to go thru the small holes in the ceramic cup (don't know about the clone ceramic cup). You should be able to use 30 g resistance wire joined to the 30g non-resistance wire.
2. "www.vaperus.ie/rebuilding-supplies/380-ceramic-cup.html" has the ceramic cups for the clone in stock. It's over seas and they accept Paypal. I've never purchased anything from them. I found the company by doing a google search.
3. If you don't want to use 30g resistance wire because you think it may be to big in diameter I'd try 32g resistance wire instead. Then join each end of the 32g resistance wire to 30g non-resistance wire.

Hope this helps good luck

The cups are interchangeable, clone to non-clone (at least for the clones I have, I think obtained from venerable vaping? And speaking of, the clones are about 4$, so you could get replacements for 4$, + spare parts included =) (and a pack of 15 nr-r-nr readywires thrown in)).

28g wire will fit through the holes in the cups. If you're talking about the cup/wire/positive post interface, I've used 30g nr without cracking the cup.

Your post makes it sound like you have resistive wire making that interface, though - shouldn't be. The resistive wire should begin and end at the coil around the wick - all else should be non-resistive. For the resistive (coil) portion, sky's the limit regarding guage, though your ohmage may get tricky if you try to cram a 26g coil in that small space =)

For my side of it, I join 30g res to 32g silver non-res, makes slipping the cup over the pos post a touch easier, and I can make a more manageable coil in that small space w/ 30g vs 28g.
