I'm looking to rebuild my Ithaka and Odysseus clones, however I have never messed with NR-build type atty's before. I hate wasting wire and was told it is almost innevitable when rebuilding with NR wire, but to save some wire I was hoping someone could give me an estimate of how much wire I should cut off? What should the length of my NR and Resistance wire be before building, cutting, etc.

I'll be using 30ga for both, and aiming for a .5-.8 OHM build. Do I need 2 strands of NR per wick or just 1?

My main concern is cutting too much wire and making it too long...with regular wire you can wrap however many wraps you want and cut off the excess, but with NR-R I am assuming you can not really cut off the excess, since that "Excess" is actually the piece that connects to your posts.

NR Wire- about one inch
R Wire- about 1-1 1/2 inches
you will need two pieces of NR wire per coil, one for each lead coming off the coil.I wrap my Terminator-C with a dual coil build at .7 ohms using 30AWG wire and i use the same lengths i listed above.
The wires do not connect to posts,if this is your first build on this type rta here is a good vid. on wrapping and connecting the coils, REVIEW OF THE ITHAKA REPAIRABLE ATOMISER - YouTube .
