I recieved my Halo Triton today and I have been enjoying the vapor... until my clearomizers started tasting burnt.. and more burnt..

Eggnog,Caramel, and Caramel Cappuccino all taste burnt. I currently have one full Blueberry Muffin clearo that seems to taste ok at the moment. I checked Halo's site and the E-Smart Clearomizers should be able to take the volts. Cheap clearomizers?

I need help!!!

Could be one of many things or a combination...

1. The Triton tank (and E-smart) is a top-coil design. You may be vaping faster than the wicks can feed the coil assembly. Need to do the twirly thing or invert it every now and then to help get the juice to the head faster. Or you could just vape it horizontally or tilted slightly with the batt end up. Try to keep the tank greater than 1/3 full but don't fill past the 2.4 ml line on the Triton tank.

2. If you have the 900 mAh variable voltage (VV) battery, you may have it cranked up too high for the resistance of the installed coil assembly.

3. Perhaps you're constantly vaping tip-up/batt-down? Need to do the twirly thing or invert it every now and then to help get the juice to the head faster. Or you could just vape it horizontally or tilted slightly with the batt end up. Try to keep the tank greater than 1/3 full but don't fill past the 2.4 ml line on the Triton tank.

If you've already burned the wick at the coil, you may be able to salvage it by cleaning it. Lots of posts on this in the Halo section of ECF. Otherwise, change that coil assembly out with a fresh one.

If you vapped a lot of juice through them, they could be simply guncked up and that's why they are tasting burnt. It's like using a BBQ, got to clean the grate occasionally or will start to give a burnt taste to everything you cook on it.

All clearomizers are cheap by nature. Some have replaceable heads and coils, most do not. They are just the baby steps in most Vaper's journey. Try an Aspire Vivi Nova BDC, they rock! Then after that, maybe an rba is in your future.

Aspire Vivi Nova won't fit the Halo Triton that he just received today.

Confused...are you using the Triton tank or an e-Smart. I use both. Either should surely last more than 1 day before getting gunky unless you have some really funky juices. Is this your first experience with vaping or have you used other systems?

e-Smarts, of course, do not have replaceable heads, but they can be flushed with hot water or vodka, then dry burned to remove the crud. The Triton tanks do have replaceable heads and any Kanger T2 head will work. Perhaps a quick head switch will help.

I'm going to agree with others that you may need to do the twirly dance  more often to keep the wicks wet.

Sorry for the long reply but, I was searching for the answer.

These were mostly high pg/vg mix. I had some pure VG caramel in my e-smart on my g6 and got great vape. Got the Triton and vaped the last bit of the VG caramel. The liquid was not very thick. Not as much as a dark cold flavor anyway..

I cleaned out the clearomizer (e-smart) and put it up to dry and grabbed my other flavors. They all started to go burnt tasting on the triton but not much on the G6. Right now I am vaping Blueberry Muffin from H.H.V. 60pg/40vg and so far so good on the G6 while at work. Now at home im doing small vapes of the Triton to scared to rail on it thinking, "im going to kill my last clearomizer?" as the other clearos I cleaned are drying, hoping I can get rid of that burnt taste.

.... and Im out of Blueberry Muffin... :glare:
