My question is I bought a Kanger subox mini and it works OK except it leaks occasionally a little juice through the pull holes or air flow base. What can I do to stop losing my juices? Another question is I'm using the original 0.5 ohm coil that came with it and have been for the two months I've had it. It works fine for what I need but when do I need to change the wicks? So far the original is doing fine it seems? Thank you!

Welcome to ECF, make yourself right at home Clint :)
Don't know what tank you have so can't comment on your leak problem.
Two months and still working fine?! Wow! I guess as long as it still tastes good to you then you are fine continuing with the wick you are using. Once your flavor and or vape drop off you'll want to change that out.

Hi and welcome to ECF! Assuming you got the kit and are using the Kanger tank that came with it, here are a couple of places to look.

    and also here.
I'm sure there are many other discussions about it, but those were the first ones I found.

I'm glad I ran across this thread. I have their toptank on the way from MVS. I briefly used their mini and it leaked occasionally. User error though, I always over fill and over saturate the coils do to high VG. I'm going to try that information in the 2nd link you provided. Sweet!

You may also experience leakage on some tanks by using too high (thin) a PG mix in your juice. It could be flooding the coil. I had that problem with my Kanger when I was starting out with it. Now I have Crown tank on my Kanger mod & have learned how to properly prime the coil. No more problems.

Great advice above. Also stated above...2 months is amazing.

I change my coils out every week. I vape high VG though. From my understanding, most will last much longer.

When ever any of my tanks leak it's usually do to user error. Over filling or getting juice down the the center of the coil...

I just remove the coil and wipe away any excess juice. Grab a paper towel, roll it up and clean out contact area. I do this when I refill my tanks. It's probably not necessary to do that every time but I do it anyway. :)

I don't really know, but just a thought here: if you are really getting 2 months out of a prefab coil, you're probably using it on very low wattage. If so, the coil may be flooding from the low watts not vaporizing the liquid faster than the wick is pulling it in. This may be the cause of your leak.

I find cotton gets in a bad state even after a few weeks regardless of the condition of the coil (gunked, blackened)... and the amount vaped.

Do yourself a favor, take that two month old coil apart and look at the cotton and coil wire. That should show you that you're using your coil about a month and two or three weeks too long.

The subox mini coils and V2 rba with big wick holes leaked out the airholes with my high PG juice. No way I'm going to change my juice to suit the tank, so I bought a V1 Rba with smaller wick slots from sweet-Vapes and built my own coils and that solved it. I rarely use it though.

+1.... I agree with suprtrkr I think this is your leaking issue right here..... Also think @davewolf said it best, take that coil apart and give it a look too.
