Hello everyone. My name is Scott also know as AlabamaWoody. This forum was recommended by my Cousin's Husband. Not sure of his user name, he is from Indianapolis.

You have a wealth of information here that has helped me a lot. Between the forum and my Cousin's Husband I am off and running. Today is day 4 of giving up Marlboro Light 100's !!!

I like the electronic cigs and I think I'm done with analogs. I can already tell a difference in how I breath !

I hope to come back soon and say I'm done with analogs. I think I am there, but the cravings are still "there" too.

My wife is thrilled that I, my car, and her house don't stink anymore ...

Thanks to all the folks who have spent the time to write up such informational articles/post. You are the bomb !

Take Care Folks, hope to post more, just reading a .... load right now.

Thanks for being here for me !!!:rickroll:

Welcome to the forums, and congrats. One thing about vaping is that there is an overwhelming amount of stuff to learn and to know about it and there are so many products on the market. It can be as easy or complex as you want it to be.

So don't be afraid to ask question before you go plopping money down on something you are not sure of. Nothing is too big or too small for these forums and there are a ton of people here to help.

Congrats again.

One of the main reasons I quit smoking was the smell and inconvenience. I'm in nursing school so I was always trying to hide the smell (we're not allowed to smell like smoke) with febreeze and whatever else I could grab. Also always having to find a lighter, or make sure I have enough time for a cig. The ecigs are great. No lighter, I can smoke the amount I want when I want. If I only have time for 2 puffs then so be it. ;) And no lingering smell!!! You can do it! I've been off the real cigs for over a year now. Once you vape a few weeks, you won't want to go back. Real cigs taste like ashes to me now. Can't stand them.

This is so true.. oh, by the way... WELCOME!! and congrats!

Here's a tip..
I've been off analogs for over a month now, and I had to use 24mg to 30mg of nicotine the first 2 weeks(pack-a-day smoker). I recommend feeding yourself as much nicotine as you need to keep those addiction voices away. Then cut down on the nic levels after you feel comfortable enough to not think about analogs daily. Make sure you stay hydrated when vaping because propylene glycol absorbs liquid from your body.

Now I've cut my nicotine levels to 9-6mg. I still think about analogs from time to time, but I know better to stay away from them. And I just keep vaping :]

Goodluck and congrats!!

Thanks everyone. Still vaping away. No cigarette today !
I am constantly drinking water, which is a good think in itself too.
I have learned so much.
I am happy with my Innokin Itaste vv3.0 and I got a Itaste mvp2.0 for home with the bigger battery. Now I'm just trying to figure out what clearomizers I like the best. I have had good luck with one Davide mini but the other 2 I bought are giving me fits. I have a new dual coil Davide that is larger that I like a lot. I have had good luck with a double coil Ospire mini as well. The ones that came with the MVP 2.0 are clearomizers with tons of wicks and fill from the top. There is subtle difference in all of them .... Trying to figure out what I like best. Once I get this clearomizer decision made I think I will be satisfied with all the equipment I have bought.
Thanks again for all the comments and warm welcome !!!

I hope to follow this same plan. I am vaping 24mg right now and got some 18mg for before bedtime. I'm going to stick with that for atleast a month then try cutting back. I hope to get down to the level you are at !!! Congratulations !!!

Hi Scott! Welcome to ECF!

When I first started vaping I found that some parts of my day required a higher nic level than others. Stress times, after meals, the strongest craving times I vaped a higher nic level. The relaxed times I vaped lower levels. For the first few months there was a high nic wintergreen tank that was dedicated to getting me past the stronger cravings. Eventually I reached for that one less and less.

Never kick yourself if you slip! Just move forward from there. You didn't get that habit in a day, it may take a while to get over it. Count the days and pat yourself on the back for each day you make it through. You can do this, we can help! ECF has some of the friendliest people on earth and most of us have been where you are now! Make friends, ask questions, there is always someone who will answer you around here somewhere.

Try different hardware and juices until you find the ones that make you happy and don't let someone tell you they aren't good enough. What ever works for you is what is good enough!

Keep a spare battery and tank around. It's that Murphey's law thing... some days it will just go wrong, be prepared when it does... Good luck and congratulations!

Hi everyone, I'm 5 weeks into vaping and loving it!! What I don't love is trying to figure out my equipment and issues a newbie has...Like leaking, or pops from the coil when vaping, or no air drawing through...things like that. I have an Itaste MVP2, 3 protanks and EGO start set. What I do love is my multi-charger for my ego batteries. From outside ST Louis here...

Hey nice to see you guys quit..
Been trying to quit smoking for many years now..
I am from singapore,
unfortunately e-cig's are banned here..
Nice to see so many people quitting the analog.
conrats guys.

Do they give you a reason why they are banned? That sucks. Curious as to why they would ban them.

I think the problem I am having with my Davide mini's is air bubbles keeping the liquid from soaking in to the atomizer. One works great the other two have this problem. They have small holes that you use to fill the tank and its let the liquid seep through, I clear these small holes with a toothpick to clear the air bubbles but one of them even after cleared will work fine then quit getting liquid again. I haven't had problems with leaks I do hear a pop now and again. I understand your frustrations. Mine is mostly with the clearomizers but they still beat the hell out of soaking the old style of atomizers. My large Davide Tank works great, it has larger holes which seems to cure the air bubble problem. The Davide and Pro tank mini are very similar. Good luck .... to both of us :) !!
