Hi

I have finally decided to buy another E-cig to try to replace my 901 which i love so much.

KB or Dura-c, which one is better? Vapor production, ease of use, how long do the atom's last, throat hit, flavor, etc.

Atm i am leaning towards the KB but the Dura-C is hard to pass by.

I would love to get both but the prices for spares on Joye products are pretty pricey compared to 901's so i can only afford one of them plus spares.

Also which supplier is the best to get atm? I have read that Janty USA were having terrible costumer service. Parked's Dietsmokes unfortunately do not sell the usb passthroughs for the KB (something i absolutely need). So that only leaves me with Ivapor.co.uk (if i go KB) but they are located in the UK and im located in USA San Francisco. For anyone that has dealt with Ivapor, how fast do they ship to the USA?

Thank You

I want to upgrade some 801 or just get a new tool.

I really wanted to know about janty kissbox vs dura-c and leaking. Do either of them leak towards the mouth/carts?
More or less cart leaking compared to DSE801, RN4072, and 901 models?
Do either leak towards the switch/battery/passthrough? I know they are supposed to be sealed but are they really sealed well? (worth paying the extra money)

I have both a Dura-C as well as a Kissbox (among other assorted e-cigs). They are two very different beasts.

I've been using the Dura-C long enough that I now feel fairly confident saying that I'm pleased with its performance. I have heard that some of the leaking problems that plagued the original Dura have cropped up, but I have not experienced that with my Dura-C. I did have one atomizer go bad, but it was replaced with no fuss, although it did take Jeff at Janty USA awhile to get back to me. (Life was busy with the move and other upheavals).

Comparing and contrasting the two models, the Dura-C is a harsher vape and is more reminiscent of the harshness of a tobacco cigarette. The Kissbox, on the other hand, provides a much smoother vape. With the Dura, sometimes I almost have trouble actually tasting the liquid because of the harshness, but with the Kissbox, the flavor is all there.

I love them both--the Dura for going out and about and when I want a harsh vape, and the Kissbox while sitting at the computer and enjoying the taste of my vape. Like I said, two very different beasts.

Getting back to the leakage issue, I've noticed absolutely no leaking with my Kissbox, and I've had it since January. I did have some leakage with my original Dura (which was a problem which was quickly reported by many users), but I have not experienced any leaking problems with the Dura-C. Yes, the Dura-C manual batteries are sealed, and I have not had any battery issues at all. (With the original Dura, leakage from the carts and atomizers caused the batteries to go wonky.) However, like I said, some people have reported some leakage with the Dura-C, but the leakage, while annoying, will not affect the manual batteries.

If I could only have either the Dura-C OR the Kissbox, I quite frankly don't know which one I would pick. I use them so differently. I suppose I'd probably wind up with the Kissbox simply because of the USB passthrough battery. It really is nice. And you can use generic penstyle atomizers with the Kissbox, which is nice.

With either model, though, you get a phenomenal warranty. And I do think that Janty USA is getting on top of its customer service issues. I really do.

Great, thanks for the info and reviews everyone.

I could see for sure how leaving tons of liquid in the pen and not wiping anything could get messy/leaky and its best to keep your stuff clean. It's good to know if you take care of it there are not leaking issues in your mouth or onto important components.

Julie: Does using the generic penstyle atomizers on the KB reduce its performance?

Also do all the generic penstyle spare parts work on the KB? since you said the atomizers worked, im guessing all the other parts are interchangeable? Im mainly looking at generic spare atomizers. Janty atomizers for the KB are like 20 bucks compared to 10 bucks from Steve. But if all parts are interchangeable what is the difference between the KB and a generic penstyle except for the manual switch?

Sorry... I don't remember which Janty thread it was... but I asked about a passthrough battery for the Dura.. and Ludo said they were coming out with one soon! :D

Again you may want Julie or another kb user to confirm this but I heard the atomizer on janty KB is very close if not the exact same as generic atomizer 801. The RN-4072 is 2 hole and burns hotter, harder pull, very dense smoke because the heat.
Most of jantys improvements are in their switch and battery cut off.

The difference between Janty manual/auto switch and battery or passthrough is their switch is sealed so no leaking can happen inside the pen. Generics will leak towards the switch/usb passthrough so you have to keep them clean or seal them yourself.
(I don't own a kissbox so cant confirm this, but I think their auto switches are better then generic because the cut off time is longer and better designed as well) Manual would never have that problem cause you control the on/off

So you can use janty switch + battery or their passthrough with any 801 atomizer. Either DSE801 or RN4072.
BUT if you have dse801 atomizer get 801 carts or rn4072 get rn carts to match. If you use the wrong carts you will have a loose/tight fit and possible mouth leakage.

I think you know this but just to remind you, janty auto/manual switch cant be used with generic 801/rn batteries or passthroughs, only janty battery or passthroughs

In answer to the first question, imho, the performance of the Kissbox atomizer is better than a generic penstyle but not night and day.

In answer to the second question, see Phalse's response.

Oh, my . . . .
