I have to say, that's a tough one. I'd say the market for kosher eliquids, I don't know how large it is and etc.

Even in DIY flavors, I'd say it's likely that you would be in a bit of a pickle, because while some of the main ingredients may or may not be kosher, (many may, or at least can obtain that labeling, flavors are basically a mix of artificial and natural flavors, and while I understand for example you couldn't have "milk" with "meat" etc., I don't think you'd be getting real "milk" or "meat" in a flavoring.

I'd say your best bet might be contacting some vendors who do eliquid in bulk and in the types of flavorings you enjoy, and contact them to ask. However, no one knows what is in flavorings besides the manufacturers, and they tend to not give out that information so often.

This might be where it might benefit you to try NET flavors you make yourself and/or some teas or other simple flavors that are safe to vape. I know it's a lot of work.

I would also (if it were me) consult my Rabbi on the situation explaining the main components in them (nic, PG, VG) and that most flavors are made from artificial and natural ingredients. If your Rabbi has any understanding of vaping as harm reduction, he might be able to help you decide what you CAN use, and if there are things that you can't, including potentially giving you an exemption on flavors, since they're an unknown. If I were your Rabbi, I would be tempted to give you a blanket pass and salute you for living healthier, but obviously I am not a Rabbi, nor am I a Jew and those kinds of thoughts may make me TOTALLY ineligible to BE a Rabbi, quite frankly. I might still seek his aid and ideas anyway.

Best of luck,

Anna

And there I was, a Jewish friend laughing at me for asking him if he's using kosher e-liquid.
"The rules are for food, e-liquid isn't food" was what he said and I felt stupid back then.
Maybe there's different opinions on this inside the Jewish community but I'd make very sure before getting baited into buying only very specific brands of liquid allegedly based on religion.

In one of those links they talk about mainly glycerin being a concern and that they don't use animal based glycerin. Guess what - every last manufacturer I know uses vegetable glycerin (as in made from plant matter).
Everything else is not using colorants (as those may indeed have an animal source) and only using synthetic flavors, which many (not all) manufacturers already do.

Like Anna suggested, talk to a Rabbi (or maybe two to make sure).

A french Rabbi (Rav Azriel Cohen-Arazi, torahacademy.fr) doesn't see a problem with e liquid (VG/PG+flavors).
According to his opinion eliquid also doesn't contain hamets (fermented flour product) and so is even ok on pessah.

You should probably still ask in your community since their view may differ and I think that would be what matters.

There are vendors who ONLY sell Kosher, vegan, alcohol free, diacetyl free, sugar free, gluten free, GMO free and non-allergenic juices that are like... totally organic.

I believe your concern is important to you and I believe that you're right in asking about it before using stuff that violates religious beliefs.

I also believe that some vendors selling allegedly poison free juices are disciples of PT Barnum. Be careful out there.

Is anyone aware of other brands who sale Kosher e-liquid except the brands that are mentioned here that are kosher ? (not DIY stuff)
Did you smoke before you were vaping? Did you find Kosher cigarettes?
No intent to besmirch your religion, just seems irrelevant if keeping Kosher is a DIETARY restriction?!

Afaik all ecig juice is kosher. There aren’t any animal products in it to begin with. It’s pg, VG, artificial flavor, and nicotine. Sure someone can market it as “kosher” I suppose. They can also market it as “gluten free” for that matter.

Glycerin is labeled as Kosher when they have the certification, but only because it it used as a food additive.
Ask your Rabbi, as advised, if you have a concern.

The thing is animal based glycerine basically isn’t made. It’s more expensive to produce than vegetable glycerine, and there are more profitable things to do with animal bits than use them to make glycerine.
