Ok so I’ve basically gone to every single Canadian supplier website and I cannot find a single one that sell nic juice (emphasis on nic) and empty KR8 carts. I don’t even understand how they can sell nic juice at all. I thought the sale of it was banned? Am I simply stuck going through two different suppliers (or the states)?

My next question is if I were to import, is there a general consensus on which US supplier consistently makes it through customs?

I did search the forums for a good hour or two, I swear :p

Hey Concat, you should be able to get them here. Definitely Canadian. You'll have to go elsewhere for nic juice though, also Canadian. Also, IME all KR8's are not created equal..I ordered empty ones from China and they didn't fit my batteries.

Filling them is really easy. I've used the "condom method". There are videos around that demonstrate how to, but basically just take one of the plastic caps that come on the fresh carto, fill it with juice (not too full) and push the carto- thread side down- into the filled cap. The juice will be forced into the carto. If the juice comes out the top hole, it's full. Remove carto, wipe clean (i use a q-tip to soak up any juice under the threads), and blow it out. Takes about 10 seconds. You will be an expert after the first few times.

There are other ways, but this was the easiest for me.

^^ Exactly, refilling is quite easy and there are tons of videos on youtube showing you how.

I've always bought empty cartos and filled them myself because i've got my favorite juices.

Only big place I know of that sells pre-filled ones is American - Vapor4Life-Because it's your life - E-Cigarettes/Smoking Alternatives

I know there are Canadians that order from there. I haven't personally.

In my view KR8 carts are falling out of favor because of the thread they use. You are stuck with KR8 or 901 batteries, neither are in high demand anymore.

Consider 510 cartomizers, there are different ones made by Boge, Joye and Bauway. Since the 510 thread is more common and can be used with eGo style batteries, and recent mods, I think they are going to be around long after the KR8 completely fades away. It will also give you many more options.

I think you will find the suppliers that offer the KR8 are also offering 510 thread cartomizer, just to make it clear I am not trying to steer your business in any direction, just think it might make things easier for you.

Sound advice, plus 510/306 gear is better anyway.

Is there a cheat sheet on this forum regarding the different models? I mean the 510, 306, 901, 808... it's confusing. I gather the 901 and KR8 are compatible in terms of the carts they use?

Many users recommend the KR8, and other recommend the 510. Seems like it comes down to preference. Then there's the T-Rex, the eGo.... bah. Are those three piece units? I think I'd prefer the 2-piece for my first e-cig, but I dunno. I'll probably end up with a collection of these things. At least that's the idea - to replace analogs.

Oh and tank system?

I have a kr808 and just bought replacement prefilled cartomizers from the canadian classified section --> 100 cartos @ $50 (11mg Hilton). The seller there mentions that he has a huge lot (300+) and was selling them off in 100's. I haven't received them yet so I can't comment as to the quality or the flavour but in any case, they work out to $0.50 each which is a smokin' deal if you ask me.

Hey Concat, here is a cheat sheet for you. KR8 shows up in a couple of different places as you will see. I suppose you can infer the battery from the chart, but again, no guarantees. I am by no means an expert on any of this, but I have made some mistakes trying to get things from different suppliers to match up. I've settled into the eGo with low resistance 510 cartos and attys now, and they do the trick for me. As always, ymmv.

ETA: probably not the cheat sheet you were looking for, but there is a model specific forum around here somewhere.
