NicFitNation: No More Nic

Dear vaping friends,

It's with regret that I share the following news with anyone who hasn't yet heard. NicFitNation has received a letter from Health Canada. As a result, NFN will soon no longer carry any juices with nic. We had really hoped this was just an April Fools, but no...it's not. We got an email from them last night around 11pm:

Hi Rachel,

It is true. We have to stop selling nicotine completely by April 15th; as per order from a friendly Canadian government agency.

By April 10th, 2011 we will changing our e-liquids to a line of of all 100% Nicotine free flavors. Once the flavors with nicotine sell out; we will NOT be restocking them. We will continue to carry the same flavors and be adding even more, but all zero nicotine.


Obviously, we can't expect NFN to have the time or funds necessary to adequately fight HC in court (though I'd be first in line with a financial contribution if they did want to pursue the matter). This is a sad thing for the vaping community. NFN's juices with nic were known & loved across the continent, not just here in Canada. And it's always crappy when stupid Health Canada uses threats to leave us with one less Canadian supplier for our nic needs.

If any of you would like to take this final opportunity (at least, for the foreseeable future) to try some of NFN's juices as they were intended to be - with nic - now's the time. Their remaining stock will go fast. They've been a good supplier & good friend to many vapers...and their juices will be missed by many.

Meanwhile, it's April...springtime. A time for rebirth & freshness. So here's hoping that ten more great suppliers will spring up in place of NFN. And no matter what - keep on vaping!!

I think you'll find HC on a tangent with both resident vendors as well as at the borders in days to come.....

This sucks, it's like they want people to feel like there's no alternative but to go back to cigarettes.

If I could have stopped smoking successfully using cold turkey/patch/nicorette inhaler/nicorette gum/nasty lozenges/chewing gum/skoal/zyban/champix, I'd have done it already. Tried all these multiple times and no joy. E-cigs have been the only way that I've found to not be inhaling burning garbage on an hourly basis. It's terrible that these jerks can't just leave us alone.

Although I have a vested intrest in this obviously, I am still VERY sad to see this happen to NFN, he has done a LOT to get many of us off of analogs and teach us about ecigs and supplying his juice has been an honor. I do know that there is stock that he must get rid of before his deadline and hope he isnt stuck holding much of it after, so it may be an idea if you need something to get it now, i can assure you that nic juice is about to become scarce in Canada

This is directed to those who have said, "FINE, if you're gonna make me a criminal, then I guess I'll go back to cigarettes."

Rolling over and "taking it" is the Canadian way, and HC knows it. If you do give vaping up for something that you know is gonna kill you (or at least be detrimental to your health), you're not only hurting yourself, but you are hurting the vaping community. I don't think it will actually take a whole lot of vocal people to make some changes here. We are just going to need to have the right "ears" listening to us. My hubby's cousin used to be a CBC reporter. I should ask her where to begin!

I would like to swear a whole lot right now at HC, but don't wanna be censored.
